Great job cleaning teeth

I've been a patient at this dental office for at least 7 years, it's gone through a lot of staff changes, etc. Overall, my experiences have been about as good as one could expect. However, I'm only giving 2 stars because recently it seems as though it's all about referring you to one of their 3rd party vendors who practice in that office a couple times a week. I had a much better experience when I would see Dr. Bulsara. I recently went in due to an abscess that I suspected was caused by a piece of food particle getting stuck. The dentist went on about how she's sure that tooth is cracked, it needs to be tended to, doesn't do anything with the painful area, and has me come in when the endodontist is in the office. So I remain in horrible pain for a few more days to wait for this specialist who does x-rays, checks it out, says there's nothing wrong with the tooth, and fixes my problem in less than 5 minutes. Then when I return to that same dentist, despite it being in my record that the specialist says there's nothing wrong, she's dead-set on doing work on that tooth. So multiple days of unnecessary pain on top of it being a waste of time and hassle.

STAY AWAY!! Dr. Bulsara tried to push 4 root canals and crowns on me. Almost $5,000 worth of work. I switched providers and turns out, I only needed two fillings.

Been a patient here for years now... Great staff and excellent patient care! Dr. Bulsara has done Miracle work with my traumatic and continuing teeth issues! Today I met Kennedie, and she is very proficient and made me feel completely comfortable. Thank you all!

A horrible experience, waste of time, and a wrongful billing being sent for collections without me even knowing they had billed me for some x-rays. I was scheduled for general cleaning on Oct. 6, 2022 with Dr. Bulsara, but staff and her primarily focused on taking x-rays in which I had previously informed them when I made the appointment that they had already been taken within a year from another dental office and my insurance would not cover it. The office assistant told me that they were waiving the charges of $75.00 before I left. However, to my surprise, it ended up going to collections, while this office never informed me of any billing or requested for any payment for services. Instead, I leave without getting my teeth cleaned, and got told to schedule another appointment for cleaning because they told me they had run out of time. For 20-30 plus minutes they push other services like invisalign, whitening application, flouride treatment on top of other services and that is how they used my scheduled cleaning time. What is worse is that I am now dealing with a collections agency that is harassing me for a $75 fee that I do not even owe. I even have a letter from the office manager saying the same in which I forwarded to the collections agency, but to date the collections agency informed me that issue has not be cleared because this office has not taken proper measures in canceling or removing this false claim. I highly recommend you go elsewhere like I did for my general cleaning. This office is incompetent to say the least. Even after numerous attempts of calling and emailing them several times and requesting their assistance to help clear this matter up. It is still an issue 2 months later.

While no one actually enjoys the experience, the folks at Northwest Austin Dentists always take great care to make it as pleasant as possible. I’ve been a patient for many years and have always appreciated that they take the time to explain what work is required and what it will cost. No surprises! During the procedure, they communicate what is happening and set appropriate expectations about how long each step will take. Kristy always seems to know when I’m needing a quick break. Best of all, they laugh at my jokes.

I'm giving them 2 stars because the dentist and technicians were nice. However, beware of the office manager. You will probably be charged for upgrades or services you don't need. For this visit, I needed a root canal and a crown. The dentist told me she would send in the office manager to discuss pricing and that I'd be able to take the price sheet home and think about my options. The office manager told me how much everything would cost ($1500 with insurance). I told her I would have to check my finances before making an appointment, but she told me there was no time to wait and that I had to start the procedure that day (This wasn't what the dentist said, but she was so persistent that I started the procedure that day). So I reluctantly put the first $1000 on my credit card. This price was just for the crown. A few days later, I received my explanation of benefits from my insurance and the patient responsibility was $600 less than what I paid them. When I called the office to ask about this, the Office Manager said it was because I chose an upgraded crown. She never told me I had options. I didn't realize there were different priced crowns. When I mentioned that, she didn't apologize or explain why she didn't explain different crowns to me. She just said she didn't remember the conversation. Additionally, they charged me for every single extra service that I was told would be a possibility only if there were any issues. Well, someone who checked out before my appointment was also charged for the same extra procedures. I finished my procedures with them, which went fine, but I will never go back as I don't trust a word anyone says there. Oh, and when I went in for my root canal, I had to wait an hour to be seen for my scheduled appointment. No one called me to let me know the dentist was behind.

I also got pushed into a bunch of stuff that secondary opinions said are unnecessary. This place was good for years... now, I never know if I will see the same dentist or other staff. Coupled with being scared and pushed into expensive procedures... no thanks.

Good service

This office used to be good a few years ago. Lately they cant keep appointments and when you do one they really push for all these additional services. My wife also got pushed into the "deep cleaning" that others have mentioned.

UNPROFESSIONAL!! We were 10 minutes late and they said they will not see my son that day. We picked him early and he missed school for the appointment and they did not even consider that. Last visit - we were there waiting 40 mins after appointment time before being called. My appointment they cancelled 30 mins before the appointment without any notice. Don't have double standards. If you cannot follow the timing yourself dont put it on others. One doctor is nice. The good staff has left. My 7 yr old x-ray last year the staff was able to take. This year the new staff could not take 1 x ray of his. So disappointed. Have moved the entire family out of this clinic.

They treat you like family. I was afraid of dentists for too long, but thanks to this fine team I’m on the road to having a better smile. Update after major oral surgery: I was panicked at the thought of multiple extractions, but they once again made me feel at ease and thanks to IV sedation and the extremely caring team, everything was taken care of with practically zero discomfort.

unprofessional. I requested for an appointment for a tooth ache on 10/12, and I got a schedule for 10/25/2021. on 10/25 they called and said doctor isn't available and re-scheduled me for 11/02. today on 10/29 they are calling again and telling the doctor isn't available for another complete week which leads me to next appointment date in the second week of November. Why would someone have to wait for 1 month to be treated for tooth ache?

Let me preface this review with this; I, like so many of you, am quite terrified of the dentist. I’ve had some horrible experiences in the past…but Dr Bulsara with northwest dentistry is a kind, gentle and extremely knowledgeable dentist. She absolutely changed the way I think of going to the dentist. I had to get a crown and a filling done recently, I was in and out in 2 hours. I experienced no pain whatsoever during and now after the procedure. Dr Bulsara and team made me feel comfortable and cared for, to the point at which I felt I could fall asleep in the chair! 5/5 stars — 💯 recommendation

Love love love this facility was so sweet and welcoming . Never had an issue and everyone was so polite and kind . They will be my continuing dentist going forward .

Went in for an emergency because I was having severe tooth pain. They were really nice and understanding about my teeth health. I need a root canal and they prepped the tooth today so there's a little bit less work when I go in for the the canal. They worked with me and helped me get discounts because I don't have dental insurance.
