Insurance Fraud!!! Vista Ridge Family Dentistry filed PRIMARY claims with both my insurance and my wife’s insurance AND overcharged me $701 for my out-of-pocket fees. After going in person to make them aware of their fraudulent practices, they still have not retracted the claim or refunded the insurance company. Also, during this in-person confrontation, they were perfectly aware my account had a credit, yet they had not contacted me or initiated a refund for my overpayment. Staff does not disclose in-network or insurance contract price agreements nor do they explain charges/fees for treatment, such as dental warranty fees for a crown. Instead, they automatically include it for billing without explaining it to be optional. This dental office employs fraudulent and deceptive practices Aside from getting my money back, I refuse to conduct any further business with this dental office.

Ok I thought i had found my go to dental place in north austin but disappointed with their service. Its one of those places that will not go above and beyond. I had my fillings done not even a year ago and had 6 years of “warranty”. However during the cleaning, my fillings started chipping. hygienist immediately told me, she would let the doctor know about this and when the doctor came in for final examination, she immediately said your fillings was not done right and she can fix it right away but need to check few things before she can start. Than the other lady gives me a quote for $700 with insurance covering $500 of that and rest out of pocket. when i asked why am i having to pay because filling usually has 5-6 year of warranty, they informed some bizarre clause. Apparently if i missed my appointment with periodontics i was to loose the warranty. Like how in the hell would I know that, i was not told anything about periodontics appointment. Like the periodontics i was going was not even through them i was going way earlier than i visited vista ridge. This whole thing is messed up. Oh and btw this place does not take cigna anymore despite of knowing its out of network i still went there because I didn’t want to change dentist but definitely not going there anymore. Just want to emphasize, my hygienist was super nice. She was friendly and knowledgeable of her work.

Think it’s really insincere to ask that I provide a less than positive review only privately. If you don’t want honest reviews - don’t ask! My hygienist was more than rough!! I’m have never had that much pain during a cleaning. Further, she couldn’t get it don’t fast enough. The dentist was snotting in her mask so much. She said it was allergies - even so - not what you want in your face and mouth!! Stay home if that out of control!

I absolutely love Dr.Patel. She’s so thorough and truly cares about her patients. I’ve been a patient here for years and can tell you even the other dentists are just as good as Dr. Patel. I have a huge fear of the dentist and everyone there is so caring. They offer blankets or warm neck wraps for additional comfort. I actually look forward to my cleanings and feel almost pampered and relaxed after spending time in the office.

A very frustrating dentist to work with. They informed me my wisdom tooth would never be an issue, only to discover a year later that my wisdom tooth was actually impacted which resulted in a huge abscess and difficult surgery. They were also a huge pain to work with for Invisalign, and after paying “in full,” came back nearly a year later and said there were random things that came out of the woodwork that were not yet paid for. They told my husband he needed $1,600 in dental work, so we sought a second and third opinion, both of which said my husband definitely did not need all of that. Honestly, I’m shocked we stayed with them for so long. My extended family and I have only ever had horrible experiences with them, and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. SmileDoc off 183 is the way to go!

I’ve had some good dentists before but this place and the whole staff make me feel so supported holistically, not just my teeth! I’ve seen a variety of hygienists and dentists and I can’t say enough about them all! They’re so understanding and kind, gentle and personable! I had just had a tragedy with my dog and sitting in that chair was the first time I rested in 2 weeks. The warm neck pillow and lead “weighted blanket” lol felt like a spa treatment! Sprinkle on the overhead tv with HGTV, great decor, free beverages while you wait which is never long, and clean teeth, what more could I ask for! Will be sending my whole family here!

Amazing hygienist, friendly staff took care of me and the Dr was extremely knowledgeable. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a dental office.

Dr Patel and her team have become almost like family to me! There was lots of work to be done and I left with a beautiful smile! Thanks to all of you! You are the best!!

I’ve never been to a dentist office that was so caring, gentle, and accommodating. And they truly cater to the people with a dentist phobia. 😬

I am a senior citizen an expressing my experience with Vista Ridge Family Dental. I had an emergence appointment which they were nice enough to see me. An referred me to another doctor for root canal. I had to go back to Vista Ridge to have my cap filled. I was told that i should have a deep cleaning and they were going to fill the opening on my cap from the root canal. I ask if all was to be covered by my insurance. They told me that front desk was preparing my Quotes for the different services. They showed me the quotes and what I was going to be responsible for. Some 45 days later I received invoice from this company ask me to pay $436.00. That had not been paid by the insurance. I call my insurance and they did pay what they would normally would pay. Let me give you example: Vista Ridge billed the insurance company $ 275.00 for a filling. The insurance companies has a innet work amount of $100.00 for a filling that they would pay 100% for. I was left with a bill of $175.00. This is not what I was told, remember I ask if they would accept my insurance. An they never told me that they charge way higher prices than what insurance company has agreed to pay. They deal with insurance company everyday. If they would have been Truthful about what was going to be charged I would have found an other doctor. I will not be doing business with them again.

Dr. Patel and her dental team are the best. Gentle, fun, but yet very professional. As a patient who is terrified of going to the dentist i give two thumbs up to Vista Ridge Family Dental. Dr. Patel is my dentist for life!

All staff were amazing! Very helpful, and they do their best to keep you at ease. My first experience with them 10/10 !!!

My entire family goes to Vista Ridge. Between myself, my wife two young kids, and grandma & grandpa, we have received treatment from most if not all of the providers at the practice over the last few years and have always had a great experience. They were even able to squeeze grandpa in on very short notice for an urgent need. Nice facility, excellent service from all staff members, highly recommend.

Vista Ridge Family Dentistry is amazing. It was my daughter's first visit to the dentist, and she was so scared...But Dr. Kerr and the hygienist makes her feel comfortable and they are very professional!!! The facility is nice and clean. We are really happy with their service! Thank you so much.

Great place for my family’s dental care. Great atmosphere that is clean and welcoming and even better dentists and staff. Wouldn’t trust my family’s dental care with anyone else!

One of the worst in town. I would call it a business then dentistry. They will come up with all weird statements and issues to take your money. Never interested what your insurance already cover. Lack of professionalism throughout, doctor says one things on payment, front office says the other. Stay away from them! In one occasion, they did not clean all teeth as they did a mock service to take money.

We look forward to visiting the Vista Ridge Family Dentistry for every appointment! Exceptionally friendly staff greet us each time. The office is clean and comfy.

Dr Kerr is especially skillful at his craft. His knowledge on sleep wellness is top notch. The office staff is exceptional, and the place is extremely nice and very clean. Professionalism and courtesy is fantastic. Highly recommended
