I was recently referred to Bedford Family Dentistry by my periodontist, Dr Todd Keller. I couldn’t be happier that I followed his referral. The minute I walked in I knew I was in the right place. Everyone was friendly, the new check-in process was fairly easy, and the 3 people who took care of me after being called back (assistant, hygienist, and Dr Tami) were thorough, fun, and kind. Can’t wait to go back! 😂😂😂 I highly recommend this practice!

I’m sorry to report that the family owned once family oriented Bedford Dentistry has changed for the worse.
My wife and I have been their satisfied customers and patients for almost 15 years.
With insurance changes thru employment over the years, any change has always been seamless. However, with the last change in insurance provider, something is even more noticeable now than before. The office has lost their family touch and become just another large business with one thing in mind….money at the sacrifice of dedicated and loyal customers. It’s safe to say, Dr. Bedford is no longer involved in the business.
Two issues proved this to me. First, the attitude of the receptionist when my wife entered the office for a minor loose cap repair. The discussion and response was unacceptable. Second, the response to the insurance provider card when produced was we “they don’t pay well, so will not accept it”. Are you kidding me?
After may years of insurance coverage with routine periodic check-ups, cleanings, very few dentist visits and zero emergency procedures, you can bet I will be selective also and will not consider Bedford as a dental option again.

Good dentist but the accountant stinks. Make the mistake of paying part of a bill by cash and the other by debit, now getting nasty billing notes I didn't pay the bill.

WILL NOT RETURN! After Dr. Braun sold the practice it has gone down hill. For example, I made an appointment a month in advance ( and I drive from SA to New Braunfels for this appointment) and they said the appointment did not exist. Considering this appointment was already pushed back 2 1/2 weeks due to a full schedule. ALSO they did not inform me that they were out of network, meaning that insurance was not covered at the moment, I would have to pay out of pocket. The only reason I knew was due to my mom getting screwed over. When I told the lady that not informing patients and not accurately scheduling was unprofessional, all she did was give me the upmost form of attitude. Myself and my family will not return. If you want information that seems like common since, you have to ask. They only want what is best for the company and not the customers. Very greedy. (this experience happened in February 2022)

I should start by stating that I really don't enjoy going to the dentist, lol. It's one of my least favorite things in the world, to be honest. When I moved to Canyon Lake though, I had to find a new dental clinic and decided to give this place a try. From start to finish, it was nothing but a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the office is always clean and well kept, and Dr. Bedford is absolutely wonderful! Unlike any other dentist I have ever had, Dr. Bedford made me feel at ease, which is very rare for me during any dental procedure. You can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients and their needs. He even talks you through what he's doing, so nothing freaks you out or makes you uneasy. I feel like I'm always getting the best care here, and compared to every other dental clinic I've been to, it's just leaps and bounds better. If I were to ever move again, I would legitimately drive well out of my way just to get all of my dental work done here. No joke. I'd give this clinic 6 stars, if I could!

I've been coming to see Amanda and Dr. Herring for years. I used to dread going to the dentist after several bad experiences. At one point I hadn't been in 10 years. When I went to Dr. Herring's office for the first time, they did everything they could to make me comfortable. I've had a few different things to take care of over the years and my experience is ALWAYS good. I feel comfortable and confident in my care. I haven't missed or been late to have a cleaning since. Going to see Amanda is like going to catch up with a friend twice a year. I enjoy our visits! When Dr. Herring joind Dr. Bedford's office, absolutely nothing changed except location. The front staff and Dr. Bedford have been so nice and welcoming just like the staff was at Dr. Herring's office. I wasn't sure what to expect after being a patient with Dr. Herring for so long but there was no need for concern. Ther staff at the office is so friendly... just expanded to a larger group!

I used to LOATHE going to the dentist. More than that, like a true fear. Which as you can imagine led to years of not going and finally needed to go due to pain. Dr. Tami made me so comfortable and drafted up a treatment plan that aligned with my finances and I'm happy to say that I only have one filling left on my treatment plan and I'm no longer afraid of going to the dentist! Dr. Tami and her team are the best! So sweet, and genuine. And go out of their way to make sure I'm comfortable and educated on everything that they do. For me, this is something you cannot put a price on.

I had my first visit today. I recently went to Aspen Dental. After the exam they set me down at a finance table. I just went for a cleaning. They told me I needed $3000 worth of dental work because I had the beginnings of gum disease. They also said I had some bone damage. I got a queasy feeling that I was being scammed, and I walked out. Well, the doctors and hygienists at Bedford are amazing. I was first wowed at the cheeriness of the office. It was bright. There was a monthly drawing (a fancy waffle maker this month with plates and syrup) for customer appreciation. Everyone was talking and laughing professionally. My teeth were fine, but I did need to schedule two deep cleanings. Shhh...I'm not a good flosser. The total would be about $700 without insurance. That includes two deep cleanings and four follow ups to maintain. Wow, not $3000.00? Do not hesitate to see these dentists and hygienists. I am so glad to have found them.
