I really appreciate the time the staff at Total Care Dental takes with their patients to educate and inform, without being pushy. I live 4 hours away but feel it's worth the drive to be treated honestly and compassionately by all who work at this office!
Total health dental was very helpful. They helped me me discover some jaw issues that were causing me health issues. Very good solutions to the problems. I am saving up so that I can proceed with their treatments
Love the amazing care the doctors and assistants provide. The front office staff are always so polite and on top of my needs! If you are looking for a good and clean dentist office in the area I totally recommend total care :)
I love the team at Total Care Dental. The Dr’s are all very gentle and take such great care of you and the whole staff treats you like family. This is an office like no other. Thanks, TCD ❤️
I have been to many dentists throughout my life and I have to say that Total Care Dental is the most professional, most effective and most friendly medical office I have ever been to. It takes about 40 minutes for me to get there, but they are worth the extra travel time. They really are the best.
These people are absolutely amazing! They truly care about their patients! Dr Jones and Camille were beyond patient with my high strung daughter and her severe dental phobia. They bent over backwards to help her and answer all my questions regarding a complex situation. We were super high maintenance and they never missed a beat! My son also had an appointment and got his first filling. Dr. Derek and Mary were super sweet with him making sure he had a good first experience. My son said later he never even felt the needle! Natalie and the rest of the team were also super nice and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about them!!!
Love this place. The atmosphere is great, they care about their patients and teach how to care for your teeth from the inside out
It’s a very friendly and caring staff and practitioners. Dr Michler is awesome. What can be improved is the following: Dr Michelle does the initial eval and is totally enchanting; then you never see or hear from her again. Not cool. Also, my dentist there left the practice. I was assigned another. All without me being informed. Again not cool. Otherwise it’s a great place.
I’ve never left a bad review before. But this needs to be addressed. This place has great intentions with the holistic approach but an absolute money grab. I’m actually super disappointed because I wanted a place to come that was honest and did the more natural approach. Anything that they can find, they say needs to be addressed. We paid 3k out of pocket today and they still wanted us to pay more and then have our dental insurance reimburse us. They don’t do payment plans either. My son had his exam and a crown fixed and I came to get him in the waiting room and the side of his lip was all bloody because they cut him while fixing his tooth! Prices are ridiculous and made me feel very taking advantage of and really questioning do me and my kids really need all of this work done or are they just saying we do? Sad!
My elderly mother went here for her 1st treatment in a long recommended treatment plan. In the beginning, everyone was so helpful. This office is an out of network for my mother & trying to get her reimbursed for her $1,000 treatment, has been nothing but a joke. Called the billing department to speak with Kylee about her claim, (date of service was Aug.), & Kylee was always with another patient, or on the other line. I was promised each time I called, that I'd get a return phone call. Never happened. Called Kris, the manager, to see if she could help. She was very nice on the phone & said she'd look into & call me back. Well, she didn't call me back until I left a message & then she text me. Said that she made some changes on the claim & my mom should get reimbursed by mid December. Fast forward to today (12/19) & I just got off the phone with United Healthcare (wouldn't recommend) & there are STILL problems with the claim! I'm sure my mother won't be reimbursed for the dental work she received here & it has been very painful working with this office to get my mother paid. We will not be back.
Beware! Total care is a total money grab. I have spent thousands for what they assured me was “complete payment”. Six months later they tell me I owe thousands more. I will never go here again and will never suggest anyone else go. There are other and better dentist to go to just down the street.
At this point, I am giving TCDW 2 stars, and that's me being generous. The 2 stars are for the fact that they were able to get us in fairly quickly. Now, in hindsight, we should have gone elsewhere. We took our 17 year old there for a check up. My wife wanted to go somewhere that was more holistic. Long story short, he had many cavities. We decided to let TCDW fill them and put the cap on. Big mistake... so far. After they were filled, he had pain for weeks after. I understand that there will be pain for several days or even a week, but several weeks later, while he had the temp cap on a tooth, he was in pain. This is a kid that has a high pain tolerance. We got back in for the permanent cap to be put on(this is after we had been back in to correct his bite with the temp cap). A week after that, the perm cap popped off. He's not a sticky candy eater either. So we go back in to have it put back on. It's on!! Yippy! We go on a Fall trip back East and two days into our trip, which was just a week or so after the perm cap was put on, it pops off!! So he's on a vacay with a stubble of a tooth and having to baby it the entire vacation.... Not cool. I know dentistry is not a perfect science. Nothing is. But I have have 3 caps put on my teeth and they have been stuck on my teeth for years!!!!! This is a review in the making. Happy to update my review if things improve.
Total care is awesome - they have brilliant doctors and specialists and they are helping my husband with many things. We are grateful we found them! However they often have poor patient manners and communication at the actual appointment, are late to appointments, make mistakes that could have been avoided if more care and attention were done the fist time, and sometimes seem to have little respect for the patients time. We totally get they are busy and we love what they are doing to help- but I wish they could be a little more respectful especially when patients are forking out massive amounts of time and money to get serious issues resolved.
Where do I start! The dentist (Dr.Derrick) was super good! Explained everything well and did it super fast! Impatient siblings in the car so..gotta go😁but would totally 💯 hands down recommend!!!
I wish I found Total Care Dental 10 years ago. They were amazing. For the first time ever I left the dentist with warm and fuzzy feelings, which hasn’t been my experience with other dental offices in the past. Our dental hygienist was so very knowledgeable and sweet with my little girl. We also got to meet the pediatric dentist Dr. Jones. She was very knowledgeable, helpful and understanding. My experience was everything I hoped it would be and more. I will be telling everyone I know to go to their office.
I Really Appreciated their service and the manner in which the hygienist Explained why and what about everything. I would Definitely recommend Total Care to anyone who likes their teeth and who want to give them the Best of Care.
Amazing experience. The staff was super knowledgeable. Dr. Jorgensen is amazing to work with. I love the wholistic approach to dentistry. They treat all of me not just my teeth. I love it.
Their dental surgeon, Dr. Mischler is fantastic!!! He is so gentle, precise and thorough that I calm down while he is working because I know I am getting the very best care. Oh, AND he does the best novocain shots ever! I thank God, literally for this amazing dentist!
ONE STAR: I think the professionals at Total Care Dental believe in their mission and that the care provided to me was competent. But I was never offered the full spectrum of other care options for any of the expensive treatments I received for tooth pain, wisdom tooth "cavitations," and somewhat low blood oxygen levels supposedly resulting in poor sleep and low energy. For my sensitive tooth problem: they replaced a crown before even mentioning very inexpensive cell salts. Replacing the crown didn't help at all but cost me $1200. It was only after the crown replacement that #2 cell salts were offered and proved to be very effective. Cost: under $20. This seems to violates the ethical mandate to offer "Informed Consent" of all treatment options at the outset, a fundamental ethical requirement of the American Dental Board. Even worse, my consistent blood oxygen levels of 93-94% triggered a conversation about how I could get that closer to 98-99% and have better rest and better energy (a persistent problem). The ONLY solution they offered was expensive NightLase treatments that involve using a laser beam on one's throat over four treatments to widen the airway. I had to pay for all four treatments up front, a total of $2400, and only after that did I have a detailed consultation, where I was shown tongue exercises and given a recommendation for Upper Cervical Chiropractic care for a possible misalignment of my top vertebrae (the Atlas bone). The tongue exercises provided better sleep after only one day. The Upper Cervical Chiropractic has been life changing (Ashleigh Street in Orem), but the first two NightLase treatments caused throat soreness that lasted for weeks, not the 24 hours I was told. The heat during the second treatment was intense and painful, but I was told "that's what it takes to be effective." After reading about this online, I found that it's fairly new and its long-term safety and effectiveness is still unknown. I cancelled the future treatments an
I happened to hear a podcast by Dr. Jorgensen and had the feeling that I needed set an appointment. I was hesitant because I wasn't sure if insurance would cover much, if any. I am so grateful I followed that feeling, meeting Dr. Jorgensen has been one of the greatest blessings of my life! She is one of my new favorite people. She is extremely knowledgeable, personable, encouraging, and did not make any claims or promises but brought me so much hope! We scheduled surgery to remove infection from the space where my wisdom teeth once were. It was my missing puzzle piece, everything finally started to fit together! The fact that I had been struggling with various difficulties for 16 years began to make sense. During the time period between my first appointment at Total Care Dental and my scheduled surgery, my health significantly declined. I ended up at the emergency room a number of times. The severity of my difficulties were quite alarming, leading us to consult many doctors and specialists to try to piece together what was happening inside of my body. I boggled all the professionals. Many said my difficulties were a result of psychosis. Multiple doctors stated from CT scans that there was no infection in my mouth, no infection in my body. We even went to a maxillofacial surgeon who specialized in jaw surgeries to get a second opinion of the infection Dr. Jorgensen discovered in my jaw. He reviewed the same CT scan that Dr. Jorgensen reviewed and stated that my jaw was perfectly healthy, that the scans showed absolutely no signs of infection. We had trust in Dr. Jorgensen and her area of expertise and decided to follow through with the surgery, after all, she was the only professional who had a plan to help me. She had knowledge from her area of expertise and a plan for healing, not ending with surgery, but for 4-6 weeks afterwards to help guide me in caring for my body in a way that fostered healing. Aside from this being her profession, she truly genuinely desired
