Dr. Black is precise and pays attention to every detail. The office staff is helpful, friendly, and efficient. I don't mind going to the dentist at all! My visit today was to repair a chipped tooth from an accident long ago. It was a breeze and so much less stressful than I had imagined.

I used to love Dr. Black, when I had seen him about eight years ago. He seemed patient, up to date, and willing to sit and explain options and procedures. But recently, my experiences with him have been starkly different. After visiting him after a break without dental insurance, he often rushed through visits without explaining very thoroughly unless I asked him specific questions. Unfortunately, I wasn't always able to ask the right questions, so I was frequently left in the dark. Dr. Black suggested that three of my teeth were going to fall out and that he would need to eventually replace them with implants. I double checked this with another dentist who said that my teeth were healthy and that replacing them with implants was extreme. Lastly, it seemed that many of his dental assistants were new or inexperienced. It always felt that he was in the process of training them, which made me feel uneasy. I didn't realize how poor the experience was until I went to a different dentist who seemed to be more knowledgeable, more up to date, less rushed, and sat with me and explained to me what issues my teeth were facing and what issues that they weren't.

Dr. Black has a pleasant manner and a gentle touch. Although I was worried about a dental visit, he handled it without needed discomfort. He was recommended to me by my grandchildren who have had a great experience in his office too.

Dr. Black is personable, funny, and a great Dentist! He always makes you feel comfortable in the chair and is concerned about your pain level. He is patient with staff and with patients, working at making sure the patient is satisfied with the end result before leaving the office. I actually love going to the Dentist now!

I have been a client of Dr. Black for many years, and wouldn't go to another dentist. We moved out of state for a brief period of time, and when we returned we came straight back to Dr. Black. We have referred many people to his practice, and every one of them has been extremely pleased (so this is not just a single person's opinion). He is a calming presence for young children, and willing to explain everything that needs to be done. His staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your schedule. I hope to never need another dentist, as I am more than happy with Dr. Black.

i had the good fortune of learning about Dr Black 14 years ago and he has been my dentist ever since. Prior to going to him I had some anxiety producing dental experiences. Dr Black Is a naturally calming person and has a very gentle touch. He does BEAUTIFUL dentistry and takes a thoughtful approach, always discussing options with me. Frankly, because of the trauma I had prior to Dr Black, my teeth were in bad shape. He created a plan and before too long I was in great dental health. I’m in Provo now but do not hesitate to drive to Orem to his office and would not hesitate to drive even farther. By the way, Dr Black has tastefully decorated his office with beautiful local art and you feel at home the moment you open his door. I no longer have dental insurance, but Dr Black has devised a brilliant annual plan for patients like me that makes dental care affordable. You will not regret a visit to get to know him and his wonderful friendly staff.

I've always hated going to the dentist, but since seeing Dr. Mike Black, I literally don't get anxious at ALL about going now. His methods are pain free and I always feel at ease with my dental care in his hands! The office staff is amazing too, and I leave there feeling great! :)
