Virginia Family Dentistry sets the standard of awesomeness for all Dental care!! The staff greeted me promptly upon my arrival and were super friendly! The waiting area was clean and orderly. My Hygienist came and got me at the appointment time and was very friendly! When the Dentist checked in on me she answered all my questions and totally put me at ease! Definitely recommended to all my friends and family!

From check in, to check out, our family’s experience was absolutely amazing! I didn’t catch everyone’s name, but Stephanie, Jaye, Yolonda and Dr. Wong were some of the many servicing my large family. One thing I can say about this place is they are thorough, efficient, professional and just awesome. They will do everything within their ability to ensure you and your family receives the care needed. During our recent visit, Dr. Wong noted a tiny spot on my daughter’s film and immediately took action with obtaining additional imaging. Most would have brushed it off (and have), but that’s what makes Dr. Wong different, he wanted to just make sure nothing else was going on. Thank goodness he did, he discovered an issue that requires surgery and caught it just in time. He created a treatment plan, took the time to explain next steps to me in a manner that I could understand, and displayed so much patience as I asked several clarifying questions. He answered each one, taking the time to ensure I understood what was going on. This same patience was displayed by Jaye, who reviewed the insurance portion for the plan that was created. That is so hard to find these days. Everyone is so busy, moving so fast, trying to get to the next patient or task, but not here. They took the time to take care of me and my family from start to finish. I am so grateful for the entire team at this practice.

Dr. Andy Estell has been my Dentist for a number of years, and he is an excellent dentist, and very professional. Megan S. is my Dental Hygienist and she is awesome. She is very professional and pays attention to detail. She is aware of the latest techniques, and explains the protocol before she begins. I was on COBRA for 18 months and recently had to change to an individual insurance. I did my research, and discovered a lot of insurance companies that were more economical; however, I would have had to go to a different practice. I thought about it a lot and made the decison to pay a higher premium to stay with VA Family Dentistry. I knew I wouldn't be happy anywhere else. In closing, the Office Manager, Receptionists, and insurance professionals are also very helpful and professionals. I feel like I'm with friends when I go to VA Family Dentistry Brandermill-Woodlake. They did their best to make me feel comfortable and at ease. And their dental work is excellent.

My hygienist, Megan, was so friendly and professional! She did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. And Dr. Mulet checked my teeth thoroughly and was friendly as well. Great staff! Friendly and atmosphere is clean.

Yolanda was my hygienist and was very heavy handed- while measuring my gums she poked me repeatedly with the tool. Despite my saying “ow” and flinching there was no apology, and she continued. This also continued during the cleaning. It felt as though she was gauging my gums with the tool. Again, no apology despite my flinching and repeatedly voicing pain. She said “it’s been 5 years since your last cleaning, and your gums are inflamed, that’s why it hurts so bad and why they’re bleeding.” Or maybe because you’re stabbing them repeatedly with a sharp tool! The dentist I saw was also very short and less than personable. This was by far the worst experience I have had with a dentist…ever. I have to go back next month for some additional work and will definitely be requesting someone other than her if she is my hygienist again.

I have been going to this dental office for years. it is EXTREMELY efficient. I never wait more than a minute in the waiting room... barely have time to take off my coat! Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and take the time to explain procedures. They have always worked me in for "emergency" appointments on the same day, even though I'm aware that some of them are probably giving up a lunch break. Highly recommend.

I really liked Ally she was very nice and everyone else including Dr Varner. They explained everything very well.
