Associate Implant & Family Dentistry

I was told I could have s California smile for $20,000. Darryl Chen kept working on my mouth. He went over by $7,000.Bridge came loose in <2 yrs.He hever fixed it.Only 1 cap completed. Nothing promised was completed.Put me under to instal 1 implant at a time. 3 hrs each time. $75 for 15 minutes of sedation. I have records.They would not give me my file to look at. I would say, I was ripped off as others have been. Had to loosen my bra each time I was under hrs of sedation. I trusted. I got burned. Terrible dental work. I am not the only one. You know you were not honest Darryl Chen.

I made a decision 2 years ago to change Dentist after over 45 years with my previous dentist. Things had changed there and l for sure needed a change. I first met Julio, very nice, then came Mari, wow so full of energy and felt l had known her for a long time. Then had Savana clean my teeth. Great experience. My old dentist office, didn't really want me as a patient I felt anymore saying they were not cleaning my teeth, but charged me for a visit which l felt was a wrong, and out of this world. Then met Dr Chen. So professional. I would highly recommend this Dentistry to anyone. Fair on price if you have no insurance, and for sure do not up sell. Since l'm a senior, they recommend a couple of insurance companies which l'm looking into. With that, again would highly recommend Associate Family Dental!

I cannot not say enough good things about Dr. Chen and his group of associates! When you first walk in, you are greeted by the wonderful and charismatic Julio! He is always down to chat while you wait to be seen! Dr Chen and his lovely assistants are always cheerful and helpful (even when it is clear they have been packed busy all day!) Mari and Christy were amazing as well! They explain the financials, no surprises, and work with you and insurance to get you the best possible results for your treatment plan. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Chen! He doesn't just tell you what you need, he allows you to make choices and the best possible treatment for your budget. He has an excellent way of explaining things you may not understand (and his drawing of a tooth was great too!) If you need extensive dental work, have a difficult case, anxiety or fear, you will not find a better dentist in our area!

Got a zirconia crown for my cracked tooth here. Dr. Chen and staff are all very friendly. They took the time to explain the issue with my tooth and that it may not help the pain depending on how it was cracked. It's been 2 months since I got the crown. The crown itself looks great and haven't had any pain since.

I had a dental emergency and needed to be seen quick. I also wanted a place that was close to where I lived. When I called Associate Dental, I got a good feeling from the receptionist Julio, because he was very personable and professional and also managed to get me seen just an hour or so later. I needed a root canal and crown and the service for all procedures were excellent. The dental assistants take much care and concern in explaining things as much as you ask them to, which greatly reduces anxiety and confusion about the high-stakes things that are going on inside your mouth. Dr. Chen’s work is all star. The temporary crown was a perfect fit, and so is the permanent one. He will answer any question you have until you are satisfied - he even wrote/drew on a whiteboard, which really helped me understand more fully. He also has good “bedside manner” which creates a comfortable experience and trust. I’m so grateful to have this dental office in my neighborhood. P.S. For the really long procedures, they even offer you a blanket - a heated blanket! Now that’s service!

The dental services offered here are top notch. The doctor was kind, gentle, and very personable. He is extremely knowledgeable, and treated me with respect. His staff is top notch. They were a calming presence, and I enjoyed my time interacting with them. Any questions I had were answered, and my dental work was done very effectively. I highly recommend!

Dr. Chen and Staff - Thank you for being such a caring and efficient group of people! I felt welcomed and everyone genuinely cares about the outcome. The Office Manager was proficient at navigating through the various options of financial options. She was very detail orientated with procedures that I was having. She throughly explained everything to me prior to it happening. No surprises with procedures or costs. Very friendly staff. I am so grateful I found Dr. Chen. I highly recommend this clinic.

Everyone at Associate Implant is so friendly! I have a fear of dental procedures and couldn't be happier with the care and options I have for a pain free and anxiety free dental visit. Implants, root canals....no problem and the quality of after care is excellent.

They are so so kind!!! I have very bad anxiety and they are so helpful to give advice on how to help with that. I'm excited to have them be working on my teeth instead of Seamar....

Dr Chen filled some cavities on my front lower teeth. He also repaired the shape of them. They also now look more natural. Later one tooth felt a little high, he graciously sanded them down and cleaned up some rough edges. Just right now. Definitely, I recommend his dental practice. PS his staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Ok this is lenghty but worth the read. So I've had dental problems for YEARS but put them off mainly because I was afraid of being scolded and looked down upon by dentists like I had been in the past. So I had a bit of an emergency recently that led me to these guys by chance and I feel so lucky I did. Because they treated me like a person and not a science project. These last couple of visits I got a fist bump from Dr Chen, talked about tattoos with one of the other dentists, and after my first much needed cleaning, the dental hygienist said I had beautiful teeth. I've never been told that ever in my whole life. It really lit me up because I know I still have more work needed on my teeth but those things really make you feel good you know? I almost cried on my drive home because I thought it was too late for me to catch up on my dental hygiene. But they assured me it's not. Everyone there gave me hope and actual options to look forward to. I actually like going to the dentist now because it feels like they really want to help me and not just deal with me and it makes all the difference. So if you're scared of dentists like I WAS then you should check this place out because they're mad chill here and genuinely kind people! Peace!

I have been to many dentists in my life. I have never experienced the degree of kindness, quality work, and attention to details as I have here. They focus on my holistic health, not just covering up a problem as quickly and cheaply as possible, as other dentists have done. They take the time to explain my dental problems in detail, answer questions thoroughly, and make sure to address all of my concerns. They obviously take pride in their work. They show compassion for fears about dental pain/anxiety. They clearly work hard to give the best experience possibly. This would be impressive in any normal situation. But to be able to provide this level of service during a pandemic is outstanding.

Awesome team of professionals who really care about their patients. I got a night guard from them and 2-3 weeks later had it chewed up by a dog. Dr. Chen then did another set of impressions for a new night guard FREE OF CHARGE right away. Highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist in the Bellingham area.

My actual name is Elijah. I was experiencing severe tooth pain and was worried an infection had reached the nerve. The staff was very friendly and informative. The dentist made it very clear that the tooth could be saved, but listened to why I preferred extraction. Him and the assistant didn’t fight my preference, but made sure I was informed before giving my final decision. I chose to go against the Dentist recommendation and he proceeded with the extraction no problem. The extraction went smoothly and the next day I had no lingering pain. I appreciate that I was informed of all my possible decisions, what his opinion on the best option was and him still going through the procedure even though I wanted the other option. I plan to make this my regular dentist from here on out.
