My last visit wasn’t so great. I was referred to an endodontic for deep root analysis. My PA showed something suspect. I was told I needed to call the place and let them know I’m being referred and to give them this long description of why I’m being referred. I’m normally used to each clinic contacting the specialist and letting them know the problem. Followed by getting a phone call from the specialist clinic to setup for appointment. This was not the case! The new place was very nice and the chairs have a nice new feature for massage. But the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth is not my favorite. I do miss my teeth being cleaned by my old dental hygienist, I don’t think she works there anymore (her name was Janet and I miss her). Both dentists I had been seen by, Dr Steve who I appreciated at first, but when he realized that I would not be buying his veneers that he kept trying to peddle….he pawned me off to one of the newer female dentists who honestly, wasn’t any better….zero personable skills. Forgive me for expecting a higher standard and quality of care for a service that I am paying for. Anyway, I have been coming here for years with my husband and daughter and I will likely be seeking another place to take over our dental needs. They’ve officially lost my husband, daughter’s, myself and my sister’s business, unfortunately!

First off, the new office is fantastic. It's very very nice. No more paying to park, it's in a better area of Vancouver that's not as populated and full of traffic and they have MASSAGE CHAIRS!! Besides the building and amazingly comfortable chairs, the staff is great. Front desk staff is friendly and quick, my dental hygienist is always really great. She's nice, she is thorough and very good at what she does. I'm not a fan of dentist offices, for my own reasons, so I'm very anxious at the dentist but I'm very comfortable at New Horizons Dental. Not to mention, they gave me really rad purple sunglasses to wear during my treatment that brought out the inner 5 year old in me. Always a great experience here.

Perhaps the best dental experience so far! The staff were super-friendly (even though I was running a little late 😅). And the hygienist, Laura - oh my goodness! Simply the best. Informative, kind, friendly and thorough. Dr. Steve was as equally friendly and thorough. Less important, but still impressive: The tech and tools they used were more advanced than what I had been used to. Overall it's a new, impressive facility.

I was scheduled to see my dentist for a crown and some other work and was told that they had left due to an emergency. It's very hard for me to schedule time off of work and initially I was very upset. My follow up appointment was with Dr. Jen. She was very apologetic about what had happened and was very understanding about why I was so upset. Dr. Jen was very professional and by far one of the most skilled dentists I have ever worked with. I was very comfortable during my time in the chair. Dr. Jen is definitely the standard that all other dentists should strive to follow.
