Oakes Family Dentistry

Had my first visit today and everyone was great. I told them I have a bit of anxiety with dental visits, and my hygienist walked me through everything she was doing. 10/10

New patient here. I walked in to a lovely office that looked clean yet didn’t smell of disinfectant. Always a good thing. Receptionist, Hygienist and Dr work well together and I was comfortable and informed my entire appointment. I would have given 5 stars, but the music choice was odd. Lol

This was my first time visiting Oakes Family Dentistry. It was clean inside and had a very relaxed atmosphere. I received dental X-rays and a routine teeth cleaning. Dr. Oakes was super nice and took the time to explain my-rays and answer all my questions. Rachel, the dental hygienist was awesome! It is obvious she takes pride in her work. Overall great experience.

My husband and I have been going to Dr Oaks since 2005/6 after we were referred by our local dentist due to some complications with a root canal. It is a 45 minute drive for us but well worth it. We have been very satisfied with care and the service we have received . The staff is always very helpful, friendly and easy to work with.

Our family has been going to Oakes Family Dentistry for over 15 years. Dr. Oakes is kind, caring, and thorough! He has a great sense of humor as well so the appointments are fun rather than tedious. I continue to refer him to my friend and community members!

I’ve been going to Oaks for a few years. Each time they are efficient with wait time and listen to any concerns I have. They are professional and do a great job.

Thought this was a good spot. The crown he put on fell out . Went back in for final process and here i am again with a crown that has fell out again. Paid a lot of money for bad work

My family has been going to Dr Oakes for years. I have always had a pleasant experience with all the front desk staff, hygienists, and Dr Oakes himself. I'd recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Oaks is Amazing! Always patient and kind. Customizes my plan to my needs, able to get in to be seen within a reasonable amount of time and does great work! I drive almost an hour just to come to His office and I can't imagine ever seeing another Dentist! I would recommend him to anyone, adults and children alike.

My children and I have been seeing Dr. Oakes for about 15 years. Dr Oakes is a friendly and skilled Dentist. He has taken very good care of us, has worked with me financially to make sure we can afford his services and has given me great referrals to other surgeons when I needed them. I've always dreaded dental work. 'Took a chance with Oakes Family Dentistry and I'm so glad I did, I've had nothing but great experiences in the visits I made in the last month. Best root canal I've ever experienced. I found my new dentist. 🙂

I had a dental emergency & was able to get in promptly the same day to address the problem, relieving a lot of undue stress wondering how it would be resolved. Dr. Oakes is always kind and professional.

The staff and Dr Michael Oakes are amazing. Nice place. The staff and Dr answer all questions and explains what everything is. I will and would definitely recommend this dentist. I actually can't wait to have the rest of my issues fixed.

As someone who has a serious apprehension about going to the dentist, and after 25 years of avoiding dentists at all costs, what an absolutely perfect experience! A root canal I'm guessing is not the experience anyone ends up talking about positively. Because of the kindness and professionalism from Oaks Family Dental, it's only right to provide some insight for anyone researching a new possible dentist. After four visits to complete the work, each time I was greeted with a friendly smile, genuine friendliness and casual conversation. Each time they remembered conversations from the last visit, asking how things were going, with an unbelievable friendly and caring demeanor. A little singing should be expected, along with a dentist and assistant who instinctually pick up on any discomfort, immediately stopping to ask if you're doing okay. This level of a total wow experience is rare, and absolutely deserves to be complimented!

I asked for a replacement retainer, was told that they make these for $250. Then, when I picked it up, they changed the cost to $345 (saying they decided to get me a better retainer than the one I asked for). Then, my insurance tells me that they billed a "package" of $690. After multiple visits and insurance phone calls, I just paid, because what else can I do? I feel completely taken advantage of. It's an unfortunate cost of medical care that happens all too often. Dentists and doctors will bill for as much as possible, passing the burden on to the patient and insurance has no say over how much they charge. All of this for a cheap retainer that fits terribly. They're a business, but one that unfortunately just wants to make money. I feel bad they are doing this to folks in the community.
