Avanta Dental of Yakima

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience as many people have had based on the reviews. I’ve been a patient at Avanta for more than 1 year. There is a massive issue with overbooking the staff. During your specific appointment time the doctor may have 2 other patients at the same time sitting in different exam rooms so he goes from one to the other every few minutes. I recently went for a specific tooth complaint, I was told I needed X treatment and I trusted them (mistake) and agreed. Weeks go by and I have the same pain! I go back again to find out they treated the WRONG tooth. I agree again on a new treatment this time on the affected tooth (mistake again) and after paying a huge sum of money and HOURS of waiting while they overbook the appointments (to the point of waiting almost 3 hours in an appt that should be 45 min), here I am with the SAME pain again minus hundreds of dollars and hours of work. Definitely not coming back. Get a second opinion if you are not sure.

I have been coming to Avanta dental now for a little more than 6 months, every interaction with the staff has been great. Everyone is friendly and easy to talk to. Not once have I felt nervous about a visit. They always educate me and keep me informed on how to take good care of my teeth. Alyx sealed two of my teeth today and she was very professional and efficient. I can tell she and her co worker knew what they were doing and enjoy what they do for a living. I did not get her co workers name, but they both did a great job sealing my teeth! Dr. E had to do a little cleaning before they could seal. It was over in seconds and I didn't feel a thing. Thank you Avanta for having a great team. I will be sure to recommend you to all of my friends for dental work.

Cindy is my dental hygienist and does a great job for me! She listens to my needs and has the professional skills required in this industry. My teeth are personal to me and people like her are hard to find.

I absolutely love this place, and considering my fear of dentists that says a lot! I went in because I needed a crown. They made the crown during my appointment and seated it immediately!! Amazing!! Bianca and Dr Tawil were amazing too! They were very kind and made my visit go smoothly. I was cold and they gave me blankets to use during my visit! I would highly recommend this dentist and other staff professionals at Avanta Dental to everyone.

They’re Rude and they messed up on a crown 2 times. The pain was unbearable and they had us waiting there for awhile

Highly recommend. Office is very clean and organized. All staff, I had many appointments over many weeks, were helpful and knowledgeable. I never felt judged or unwelcomed. My appointments were fast and to the point. I had the same doctor everytime! Same day crown appt was a positive experience with minimal pain, both implants feel secure and done properly, one was a fix from previous work at another office. They know what you need when you need it and are flexible doing your dental work if you have to budget and work with your insurance.

I wasn’t going to leave a review but I guess since no one called me to address the issue after I had spoken to the front desk I’m going to have to. The staff here are SUPER friendly, the atmosphere is amazing, and they literally make you feel at home. BUT I have one problem, I was told I had 10 cavities and I literally was going to cry. Ever since I had my son a year ago my calcium level has been so low that I’ve been more prone to cavities. I had gone in FOR JUST A CLEANING but they wanted me to fixed these cavities ASAP. I don’t have dental insurance so I pay out of pocket for these things. They quoted me around $2000-$3000 i dont remember but I left so heart broken from the amount of cavities they told me I had. Long story short I went to Chicago where I’m originally from and went to my cousins dental office and showed them the paper work they gave me with the 10 cavities they spoke about….. Tell me why I only needed 3 of those “10” cavities to actually be fixed because the others weren’t really cavities or they didn’t need to be touched at all. What were they going to do with my teeth if I had allowed them do fixed the 10 that they calm I had? As much as I loved this place it gave me the ick after finding out what they did. For that I’m giving them a 1 star and because when I addressed the issue with the front desk they never called me back to explain themselves.

On a scale of 1-10 I rate Avanta at 500!!! I came in on an emergency basis and they quickly made room for me. Everyone at the front desk was warm, friendly and welcoming and quickly got me checked in. As many others, I have very high anxiety at dental appts. The tech who led me in and prepped me (and assisted the extraction) was so patient and calming, very kind and reassured me and answered all my questions. The doctor who performed the extraction was also very kind and patient, explaining why it was necessary and everything that it entailed. She even asked if I would like to have me husband come in for moral support (I would and he did). She was so careful to make sure I was completely numbed and told me to raise my hand during the procedure if I felt any discomfort. She and the tech were amazing! I was referred to Avanta by a family member and I will always and only go to them, as well as referring them far and wide! I'm so glad to be able to post my experience with them and I thank each and every person in that office for their professionalism, warmth and kindness! May God bless and keep you all! I highly recommend Avanta Dental. I was scheduled with Dr. McDonald and assisted by Wendolee. Both were very knowledgeable, extremely aware of my dental anxiety; and offered sincere empathy, soothing my tattered nerves. (Laughing gas helped too!😉) The doctor was very skilled and in about 2 hours I had a new tooth! Amazing. Everything about my experience was outstanding! From the moment the front desk staff greeted me, to walking me out the door afterward. If you’re looking for a dental clinic which will meet your dental needs, recognize your time is valuable too, and treat you like an important client/patient; instead of like a number, inconvenience, or dollar sign…. This is your clinic! Thank you Advanta, Dr. McDonald and Wendolee… you made my mouth and my fears feel better.😉

Highly recommend!!! I called to make a appointment for a absence and got in right away!! Karina was so helpful getting me in right away and was super nice!!!!

Dr. Tawil is amazing. Kind and so gentle. Did I have teeth pulled? And Wendolee is friendly and makes the visit easier. I love the the entire staff, and all of the dentists I have been with. I’ve never had to wait more than three minutes, when I show for my appointment. This is a great dentist to make your smile beautiful.

Would not recommend coming here. First, they told me I needed a crown. Then, it turns out I needed a root canal all along. Now after the root canal there is still pain and discomfort. Save your money because now I need to go somewhere else where they can actually fix it and waste more money.

I had my first appointment yesterday with Avanta Dental. It was a very nice expireance between the friendly staff clean/nice dental office. One of the nicest I've been to. Dr Tawil and Jasmin did a great job.

Allan helped me out with knowing my insurance benefits. I learned a lot about what im cover for.

I absolutely love coming to Avanta Dental off of Nob Hill in yakima. I was greeted by receptionist Ana, she welcomed me in with a smile and continued to be helpful. Showing me what I would be doing and the time frame of said appointment. Avanta Dental is excellent at working around my schedule making it easier to take the best care for my health. I definitely recommend this place👏💃

Was recommended by a family member, assistant wendolee was very gentle and careful when doing x-ray, nice and funny ! Dr.tawil was super great and explained everything in detailed and always made sure I was okay :) would recommended avanta if your in need of a check up !!
