I am a wimp when it comes to the dentist. I avoid going at all costs - until I lost a filling and was encouraged by a good friend to see Dr. Poole at Oakbrook Family Dentistry. I moved to West Ashley last year and had not needed to see a dentist until now. I scheduled an appointment and got in within a week. The staff was amazing. Kind. Encouraging. Warm. Dr. Poole reassured me he would take good care of me and I would feel very little, if any, pain. I ended up needing a crown and he even gave me something to take an hour before the procedure to relax me. He was right, I felt no pain. I have no problem driving from West Ashley to see Dr. Poole and his amazing staff!!! Everyone from the front desk to all his assistants… wonderful!! Dr. Poole has amazing compassion and understanding and goes over everything with you every step of the way! I will continue to make the drive. Thank you Oakbrook Family Dentistry! You rock!

Dr. Poole has a great bedside manner and his calm demeanor helps with dental anxiety. He listens to any and all dental concerns. The staff is equally as amazing and are very good at setting up appointments and squeezing you in if need be. I highly recommend Oakbrook Family Dentistry!

Today I called because I chipped my front tooth and the receptionist Becky refused to ask if I could have it repaired, instead insisted on me having three appointments essentially before it could be fixed potentially. In addition, because I decided not to schedule I was told I would have a hard time finding a dentist to accept my insurance, which was a blatant lie. I’m extremely disappointed because I have sent so many people and bragged on them so much for helping fix my teeth in the past. Dr. Poole is an amazing dentist, however poor customer service is very important to me when giving my business. It’s unrealistic to expect someone to walk around with a front tooth chipped for that extended period of time, the first available appointment was not until January 24th. I will no longer do business with This office.

I was at work when my crown on my front tooth fell out at 11:30 AM. I called the office and got an appointment that same day for 4 PM. Dr Poole and his staff fixed my smile and I was out the door and smiling by 4:45. So thankful for them. They are lifesavers!
