I chose this dentist due to the reviews. While I can say the staff are truly AMAZING the costs are not.

Upon my first visit I signed a waiver acknowledging they were not in network with any insurance. That’s fine, they said my insurance would still cover a portion of it. I double checked this, concerned about paying more and asking if it would be covered. They informed me they wouldn’t know until after the exam and they had a bill to submit to insurance but with Delta they didn’t see why it wouldn’t be covered. I gave them my insurance information prior to the appointment.

The bill I received:
-comprehensive oral evaluation (looking at gums/tissues/oral cancer screening) $109
-intramural complete series (x-rays) $177
-prophylaxis (cleaning) $120

The prices are higher than average and absolutely none of it was covered by our Delta dental insurance.

Why businesses (doctors offices are also notorious for this right now) do not disclose costs until AFTER the service and only tell you “insurance should cover it” leaving you with the sizeable bill is frustrating.

Insurance will tell you it depends on how the items are billed, they won’t know that until the bill is submitted.

I have found another dentist that is fully covered and I will not be returning.

Just a heads up for anyone else, find out the costs ahead of time. If cost is not an issue then yes, the staff here is wonderful.

If you have to go to the dentist, Family Dental Health of Brushy Creek will take great care of you! Love Susan. She is so kind and sweet. She is very professional and gentle with cleaning. Dr. Tolbert is fantastic as well. He goes above and beyond if there is any concern. Great practice; great people!

I would recommend Family Dental Health to any one. My experience was amazing. The hygienist, Kris, was informative and all around enjoyable to be with while having my teeth cleaned. Dr. Benfield was also amazing! So professional and welcoming. They were both very helpful and efficient during my visit!

I went for a visit as a brand new patient and received excellent service! My hygienist and dentist were very thorough and friendly. Doing a full set of x-rays always bothers me because it hurts my mouth but the hygienist was very gentle and got it done quickly. Great location, great staff, highly recommend.

I had a dental emergency which resulted in having wisdom tooth removal surgery 3 days before Christmas. It ended up being a little more complicated than it was supposed to be and they have been absolutely great at trying to get my dental issues resolved and how fast they can get you in for appointments. This was my first time with this office and I will absolutely refer them to friends and family.

Great visit as always! Went for a routine cleaning and stayed for a crown. It was wonderful they had an opening for Dr Tolbert and crew to complete the procedure that day. Everyone does a fabulous and painless job.

They are pretty normal for cleanings. My issue is that I had a crown put on just before I moved and it turned out terrible. I can't put any pressure on the tooth without extreme pain. Its been 2 months and its still extremely sensitive to heat and cold. Before the crown I was told my tooth was cracked even though I felt no pain in the tooth. I've tried multiple times to get an appointment to get it looked at even though I would have to drive 8 hours to see the dentist. I still don't have an appointment and the clinic isn't helping. I don't get to speak to the dentist, Dr. Benfield (comes in at 12 each day) and can only talk to dental techs. I feel like my tooth has been ruined and I'll probably need a root canal to relieve the pain, unfortunately my insurance only covers one crown every 5 years. I'd shop around if you need any dental work done aside from a cleaning.

Before today 02/28/2023, this would have gotten a much higher rating from me as my wife and I have been before. I was there at my scheduled time and after waiting 30 minutes in the lobby and 7 other people came in and went right back, I finally went up to the counter and said what's up with the wait? I was told that the employee that was scheduled to see me was running behind....but nobody told me a thing until I took action. I got an apology from someone named Stephanie and I told her that I appreciate the the apology, but, I won't be back. There is a Dentist office on just about every corner in the area I live in.

Catherine, who cleaned my teeth, was very nice. She did a thorough job. Dr. Bloomquist was also kind, and he explained everything. That isn't something every dentist does. I would highly recommend Family Dental Health of Brushy Creek.

Dr. Benfield is the 🐐. His team is great and everyone is very friendly and helpful. Such an easy and seamless process from scheduling to insurance verification through text. The dental hygienist, Catherine, was awesome explaining everything she was doing and my teeth felt great afterwards!
