I was here in June 2022 and I will be returning for a third visit soon. We are visiting the Rapid City area now for a little over 3 months. Unfortunately while here I broke a tooth and then my nightmare got worse, I had to find a dentist immediately. I reached out to many dentist’s and they either were not taking new patients, couldn’t get me in for several months or didn’t accept my insurance. I called Dr. Samuelson’s office after hours on a Friday night and they actually reached out to me while the office was closed and made accommodations to get me in immediately. His office personnel, his assistant and of course Dr. Samuelson were outstanding from beginning to end. I have an incredible fear of needles but this dentist and his assistant assured me of all the right things and truly put my mind and fears at ease. I always sweat, panic and tense up uncontrollably “NOT THIS TIME”. Not only did he extract my tooth painlessly I already returned a second time for a filling and soon I’ll be in for a cleaning. I can honestly say that he is probably the best dentist around and I wish he had his office in my hometown of Florida. No matter what, I plan to return to him as often as I can. He is that great!!!!!!!

The best around! Super accommodating with scheduling and have even called to let me know when other appointments cancel to get me into appointments that are more convenient. Chelsea the hygienist is amazing and I was very comfortable during my root plaining and scaling, I didn’t feel a single thing! The entire process is very thourough and they take all aspects of your health into consideration. Highly recommend!

What a great place! I am not a fan of going to the dentist because of past experiences. If Dr Samuelson would have been around 25 years ago, I probably wouldn't have minded going to the dentist. Everybody there was very pleasant and I was well taken care of the entire time. I was nervous because I had a large portion of a tooth broken off. It was a surprisingly quick and pain free process to get a filling and have my tooth rebuilt.

Hands down the best dental experience I've ever had, and by a considerable margin at that. The staff were courteous and quick to address my dental issues, they were also sensitive to my abbreviated schedule and were able to schedule me and fully address my concerns within a couple weeks.

I have a very high regard for Dr. Scranton at BH Area Dental. I have known her for many years. She is professional and good at what she does. I have no fear of going to her for work. My husband goes to her also. He is very particular and not easy to please. But he has a very high opinion of BH Area Dental and the Dentists there. We would encourage anyone to go to BH Area Dental.
