Downtown Franklin Family Dentistry

I’ve been with this team since they opened their practice. Dr. Abrams is very kind, takes time to explain things in language I can understand, and his staff is really wonderful. Which is important because my husband and I have varying levels of difficulty/fear at the dentist.

I always feel like Dr. Abrams gives procedures as much time as they need and anytime I need a follow up or an adjustment they are quick to get me in!

Also, the office is cute. I love waiting for my appointments on the front porch in a rocking chair. The southern charm of this office is awesome considering the hi-tech work going on inside. The office is also incredibly close to the Franklin downtown area, and I love to walk down after appointments to run errands!

I love that this practice is not stuffy— you can tell the folks running the show enjoy working together and the work they are doing. The hygienists as well as the office manager are also very skilled- and it seems like the skill level of everyone at the practice is always increasing, which I appreciate.

I love that they email and text as well- whatever your preferred method of communication is, they can do it! This group of folks makes going to the dentist easy and as pleasant as it can possibly be.

There’s extra parking in the back if street parking is limited !

I’m new to the Tennessee area and was looking for a new dentist that cared for his patients and took the time that was needed to make you feel comfortable. Dr. Abrams is amazing. He does all of the above and more. He’s very gentle and caring and explains everything to you and he’s a perfectionist. I would like to give a shout out to his staff as well. They are all very helpful and nice.
Dr. Abrams assistant was excellent too.

I’ve been visiting Dr. Abrams office for a couple of years now and have had a great experience every time. I recently had a filling done, I was in and out in less than an hour and Dr. Abrams even followed up with a phone call a few hours later to make sure I was feeling good. I also appreciated how he communicated what was going on with each step during the procedure. Great customer service!

Merry Christmas to the best dentist I have been to and staff. In many years. You know when you are part of Downtown FAMILY dentistry that’s how they make you feel. Small town come on in feeling. Happy New Year….

I just had my 1st visit at Downtown Franklin Family Dentistry. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. As someone with dental anxiety everyone make my visit so easy. Kim at the front desk explained everything and was so welcoming. Taylor my hygienist & Dr Abrams were both so warm and welcoming and explained everything they were doing. I would recommend Downtown Franklin Family Dentistry to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Just had a 2nd visit to get a cavity filled. I have dental anxiety & always need nitrous when having dental work done. Dr Abrams talked me through what we was going to do and then explained everything as he was doing it. Because of Dr Abrams & Allison I did not need the nitrous and felt calm while being worked on. Dr Abrams even called me later in the day to check on me. 10/10 for Dr. Abrams & staff.

After having “sat out” of my regular preventive dental care for a few years, we decided to go see Dr. Abrams after being recommended by several neighbors. Their staff was very efficient in getting my husband and myself in for a visit in a timely manner. Our schedules are quite irregular, so that was a bonus. I just needed a regular cleaning and checkup, but my husband has lots of issues that will take awhile to resolve- and they’re working with him to achieve that goal.
My cleaning was done by Ms. Jennifer. She’s amazing. I had to get a full set of X-rays done, and I warned her about my super sensitive gag reflex. It makes any dental work a little challenging. She had a trick that kept my nausea at bay and we were able to work together to get the X-rays done. She was absolutely hilarious and I look forward to working with her in the future. (As much as anyone ever looks forward to going to the dentist). We discovered I have a cracked tooth (and a very high pain tolerance) and Dr. Abrams told me what I always knew: I needed a crown. Sadly, this one won’t have any diamonds on it.
I went in today for my temporary crown, and the team was very thorough and accommodating. Dr. Abrams even called me later that evening to check in and make sure I was still doing well. “Service after the sale”, so to speak, is very important in any business, and I know that the folks at Downtown Franklin Family Dentistry genuinely care about their patients and their comfort.

TL;DR: this is a small practice with a caring and knowledgeable team in a comfortable and homey atmosphere. I highly recommend them to anyone in Franklin and the surrounding area.

Dr. Abrams is an excellent dentist, very knowledgeable and personable. When I was visiting Franklin I needed to see a dentist about a tooth that was bothering me. I was able to get an appointment and was treated very well by Dr. Abrams' staff. Dr. Abrams diagnosed my problem right away and explained very clearly what needed to be done. When he finished the procedure I felt much better. I know that if I lived in Franklin or the surrounding area, Dr. Abrams would be my 1st choice for a dentist. Thank you Dr. Abrams and staff for taking care of me!

While at first appearance the office staff is cordial, HOWEVER, they do NOT know how to file insurance and it took them 6 months to get it filed correctly, and then benefits were used up. Took them until 3 weeks later to advise me of this. Gave me 24 hours to pay or be put in collections. It was their ignorance in filing that cost soooo much time, not mine! Worst customer service experience ever!!!
