Dogwood Family Dentistry
Review of Dogwood Family Dentistry
Dogwood Family Dentistry:
Dogwood Family Dentistry is a dental clinic located in Knoxville, Tennessee. They offer a variety of dental services including cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, teeth whitening, endodontics, and emergency dental services. They are open Monday through Friday, with varying hours each day, and are closed on weekends.
While some customers have had positive experiences with the clinic, others have reported negative experiences. One customer praised the bedside manner of Dr. Smith and the helpfulness of the appointment scheduler. Another customer simply stated that the staff was "nice and helpful." However, another customer reported feeling unwelcome and judged due to their inability to afford the more expensive treatment plan. They also reported feeling abandoned by the dentist on two separate occasions.
It is important to note that while some customers have had negative experiences, this does not necessarily reflect the quality of care provided by the clinic as a whole. It is always recommended to do your own research and read multiple reviews before making a decision about a healthcare provider.
If you are in need of dental services and are considering Dogwood Family Dentistry, it is recommended to call and schedule a consultation to discuss your specific needs and concerns.

Let me start off with, I know I had a lot of work to be done. My first experience with Dogwood dentistry was wonderful. I thought I had found the place to finally help me smile again. We set up a game plan on that visit to get to looking better. Second time I went the dentist did a fantastic job pulling the teeth that needed to be pulled and the hygienist also did a great job with the cleaning. Then they discussed my next visit to get the needed work done for the fake teeth to replace the ones pulled and some other issues. The price range was 11,000 for the prime treatment and 1,800 for more of a temporary treatment plan. I chose the cheaper because well I just could not afford the 11,000 dollar one. They send me on my way and I make the next appointment. Upon arrival for this last appointment all seemed o.k. they did their normal looking in the mouth etc. then the assistant started to numb me and the Dentist comes in and puts a needle in my mouth for further numbing and at this point I thought I had better say something because I was unsure what was happening, I simply ask how much is this going to cost me. The Dentist then stops, realizing, I suppose that I did not know the price, she gets up to leave and while they are preparing to present me the price again I suppose, I clearly heard her assistant say that she was tired and wanted to go home. They come back in with the estimates and I told them that I still wanted the cheaper version for now and that even though I was moving the next month that I could come back in for further treatments. Well, the mood changed for some reason and I do not want to judge what they were thinking. After the confusion is cleared up the assistant comes back in to start the temporary treatment plan I had come for to begin with but then begins to talk me out of it and it was very clear that she did not want to do it. I suppose it was not worth her time and she wanted to go home as I had overheard earlier. So I was faced with a choice, do I stay and imposition the assistant and perhaps get a bad job or do I leave as it is clear she wants me to do so she can go home. I pretend to take her advice and quickly exit with tears in my eyes.. (no joke) That is the facts of the experience but here is how I truly felt. I felt had I had more money I would have been treated better that day, the office staff is the one that made the scheduling error, not me, but I was made to feel poor and unwelcome especially after hearing the assistant say she wanted to go home. Up until that visit though I thought it was a great place and I think if you have the cash it would be a great option even today. I wish that the experience had continued on track so I could give a rave review but it didn't and now I am sitting here with 4 teeth missing that had been pulled and having to wait until I move to finish up the job. The Dentist I saw on was very good technically with pulling the teeth etc. and I feel that she would do a great job if I were rich or at least able to afford the more expensive option but I will say this, after pulling my teeth she just gets up and walks away without saying she was done and never came back to say anymore and on the last visit after realizing I needed more info as to price she also just got up that time without saying anything and never returned, both times leaving me questioning if she was going to come back, it was just odd behavior and something that she may want to look into on future patients because it did make me feel, well just kinda abandoned twice. I am thankful for what they did but disappointed for what they didn't do and that is why I only gave them 3 stars. Why does going to the dentist always have to be such an ordeal?

A positive experience. Dr. Smith has a good bedside manner and the lady who scheduled my appointment is completely wonderful. I will go back and would recommend.
