What a wonderful dental practice! It is small and personal with a very professional and complete first visit. As newcomers to Austin we were fortunate to hear about this practice from our daughter. They took it upon themselves to contact our out of state insurance provider and by the end of my visit, I knew my cleaning was covered and what would be applied to the filling I needed repaired. They took a very complete set of X-rays to begin; Cheryl, the hygienist, was so friendly and did a great job; and Dr.Nothern was easy to talk to, pointed out areas of concern but did not recommend any major work until such time as I experienced problems. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

My initial visit was the most thorough dental exam I have ever had. I felt I was in very expert, capable hands. I love the mid-century, cozy vibe of this office that is literally in a little house, on South Lamar. The staff is extremely friendly, and also youthful and hip. I enjoyed talking with them about local music. Just the kind of dental office I would hope for in South Austin.

Dr Nothern is far and away the most amazing dentist whom I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on my teeth. I had some less than pleasurable experiences in my past, and really never like the dentist much. So when my sister-in-law referred me here I was skeptical. And when she told home many cavities I needed filled (it was a lot), I was nervous. I knew it would be a lot, since I stayed away from the dentist for so long, and also I was worried about the cost. I do have dental insurance, so that obviously took care of a lot, but I got a lot of work done. Every visit was the consecutive best dentist visit I’ve ever had. Even if you were to negate her impeccable bed-side manner(which I wouldn’t), her effectiveness and deft hand would put her above any dentist I have ever seen. Do your best to try to get an appointment here. She will dazzle even the most hesitant of clients. Her whole staff is courteous and clean and kind, and you can just tell from walking in that she has created an environment that is positive in every way it can be for her clients. I honestly couldn’t recommend Little House Dentistry enough. It is the best dentist experience I’ve ever had by leaps and bounds. Do yourself a favor, and try to get in with them. I know you will be completely satisfied. From Sonia(Sonya? Sorry, I don’t know the spelling) who schedules appointments and takes care of your payments, to Cheryl(Sheryl?) the dental hygienist, and all of the amazing dental assistants in between, you really can’t get a better team to get your teeth in the best possible shape.

Hoooowwww is it even possible that these guys make me look forward to going to the dentist?! :) Seriously, THE LOVELIEST group of people. So warm and welcoming and full of brightness and positivity. Dr. Colleen is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. (She even drew me a PICTURE of my tooth to explain what was going on when I had a question!) Nuthin but GREAT things to say about this place and these people. :) *Also p.s., fabulous Vintage-Feels decor and they take yer song requests on their Pandora station. Y'ALL RULE, Little House!!!!!

Imagine actually looking forward to going to the dentist? Crazy, I know. I’ve been going here for a few years and have nothing but good things to say. The whole visit is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional... plus good music and a laid-back office dog. Austin at its best. I’ve been in for cleanings, cavities filled, etc. and have always felt like I’m in good hands. Dr. Nothern and the whole staff make you feel like you’re visiting old friends, while still getting top-notch quality treatment. I can’t recommend them enough.

I got my first filling at 25yrs old, am extremely afraid of needles and HATE dentist visits like another person but these women kept me will informed or what the process was, how it would feel, how to let them know if I was uncomfortable and even snapped a few photos to show me what was to be done before they started working on anything. I am forever thankful to have found such a wonderful dentist here in town. Having experienced first hand the horrors of other dentists who don't bring their A game to every visit, I am extremely grateful for this crew. 10/10 will be recommending to all my friends and colleagues.

Just had my dental hygiene appointment at Little House Dentistry. I am so impressed with Dr. Colleen Nothern and her entire staff. Sheryl was my hygienist and she was absolutely amazing! In years past, I went through some major dental procedures, so finding a trusted Dentist was always a priority. When I moved to Austin with my family, I went through several dental offices and when a friend recommended Little House Dentistry I felt I had to try them. Sonya was the first to greet me and made me feel right at home. Dr. Nothern took the time to know me and discuss my dental needs and concerns. You can tell the entire staff loves working there. They are about 35 minutes from my home and I will happily make that drive. I am a proud patient of Little House Dentistry because I trust them - and so should you!

Once again, the folks at Little House have taken care of me. My experiences there have always been positive and friendly, and Dr Nothern is a skilled dentist. Both Cheryls have done my teeth cleaning, and I'd recommend either to anyone. The place has maintained its old school charm, even since they modernized their equipment years ago.

Staff was very helpful and made me feel completely comfortable with the work being done.

Let me start out by saying that the entire team at Little House is absolutely amazing, they do a wonderful job, and it is very reasonably priced. I wish I could give them ten stars! I hadn't been to the dentist in three years and was very anxious. My boyfriend and all of his coworkers go to Little House and stressed how amazing they are, so I finally booked an appointment. They were super flexible with scheduling!

As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable, the women at the desk were so friendly and helpful. I said I was a little anxious on the new patient form and my hygienist Sheryl was extremely understanding and took the time throughout my exam to make sure I was comfortable. She explained the process and answered every question I had (I had lots of questions!). Dr. Nothern and her adorable pup Amos came in and she was equally thorough and understanding. I never felt rushed, which is exactly what I look for and appreciate in medical professionals. It's surprisingly hard to find!

My second appointment for fillings and cosmetic was equally fantastic. Vickie and Dr. Nothern did a fantastic job and I actually enjoyed the hour I was worked on. Vickie even gave me a blanket to keep me from I didn't think that was possible but they're just such a fun team! And most importantly my teeth looked AMAZING, I was shocked by what a great job they did.

So if you're anxious about the dentist please check out Little House! They've created such a warm and fun environment that I'm actually looking forward to going back after years of anxiety. It's such a big difference from my previous office, and seriously a fraction of the cost. I also had some problems with my dental insurance and they helped me figure that out. Thank you guys!
