Vista Ridge Family Dentistry

This is one of the worst dental offices I’ve ever dealt with. I had previously had x-rays at my last location but they hadn’t forwarded to this office yet. So during my very first visit here the hygienist refused to clean my teeth and said it was against the law to do so unless I allowed her to take x-rays (which I would’ve had to pay for out-of-pocket). That’s obviously a lie so I left. The rest of my family still had appointments there. During my youngest sons visit, they talked smack about me (right in front of him) for going next-door to get a soda. Then our insurance changed, so I called ahead to get pricing and update all of the billing information. They said there would be no additional cost for the basic visit. After my other son’s basic visit, they kept sending email bills to my husband’s old email, so I had no idea there was a bill. The first time they finally called me, after the bill was 90 days old, they were very rude and harassing over the phone. I asked them to send me the bill so I could pay it. Before the bill even arrived in the mail they are calling my son and harassing him. Then the day after I receive the bill and sent payment in, I started getting harassing emails. My credit score is over 830, I pay my bills. I went back to the dentist I’ve been using for 14 years. I never have any problems with them, they’re just a little far for me to drive to.

My husband Casey Sutton had an appointment at Vista Ridge on 7/8. When he came home, he said he had the worst experience he’s ever had at a dental appointment. He’s the most easy going, non complaining person so when he told me about his visit, it made me feel compelled to write this in hopes of notifying the office manager of the front desk and hygienist rude behavior. He said the front desk person was sitting in their chair far off from the front desk so she was talking really loud when he was asking about charges/billing. He said it was so bad, people in the waiting room were staring. She was also condescending saying things like let me get someone else to explain this because you’re not understanding. He said the hygienist, Aleysha, was very rude as well. She was telling him to move his head back so much he said he physically couldn’t move his head any farther back. He said she was ordering him around in this manner the entire cleaning. He’s had his teeth cleaned many many times before and has never been talked to/treated like that. He said his cleaning was done in just around 15 minutes. I personally have never had a dental cleaning completed that quickly. He said she didn’t offer him a toothbrush, floss, etc. either. Said it seemed like she went out of her way to be rude all around. Considering the way he was treated by the front office and by the hygienist, it makes me question the quality of care he received dentally speaking during his cleaning. My husbands insurance isn’t contracted with Vista Ridge but he had elected to continue his dental care at the office because he really likes the dentist Dr. Dekow. However, after this last visit, he won’t be returning. It makes me so sad to know he was treated so poorly. I hope this message is received by the office manager (I submitted the same feedback on the dental office website) and these employees are given this feedback so they can better care for other dental patients.

My family recently moved to Cedar Park and I was nervous about starting a new relationship with a new dentist but I couldn’t be more pleased! The staff is SUPER friendly. They are thorough and on-time and most importantly made me (as well as my young children) feel very comfortable throughout our exams. I would highly recommend Vista Ridge Family Dentistry.

Just finished my final procedure so that I can finally have a beautiful smile..I took somewhat time to complete my procedure but that was only because I had some major heath issues over the last few years.
The staff at Vista Ridge was patience and understanding through everything that I was going through.
I just have say if you have any problems with your teeth and or need complete replacement.

Great dental experience. Warm and friendly atmosphere with very knowledgeable staff. They made me feel very comfortable which is not easy to do with someone who has not had the best experience with dentists in the past. Every person I interacted with from the moment I walked in until the time I left was both professional and friendly. I truly appreciated every aspect of this visit.

My husband and I are new patients as of 1-11-2017! Vista Ridge Family Dentistry has a wonderful staff and comfortable atmosphere! They are very thorough and compassionate about all of your dental concerns and needs. I am so glad we discovered this great dentist office!
P.S. My anxiety level at a dentist office on a scale of 1-10 is a 10! That being said, my visit yesterday was the most pleasant appointment I have ever had!

Dr. Dekow is amazing, very polite and courteous as well as professional. The staff treat me with respect and every one of them has been very cordial. They give the best treatment recommendations and do not push too much to do things that are not immediately necessary and they are accommodating enough to change my appointments around my schedule. I am currently doing invisalign and reconstruction of my front incisors and I am excited to see the results when it is ready. I have taken my children here and they absolutely love the place - Dr. Wahi treated them and she was amazing with them. My kids are looking forward to their next visit. My husband also likes the place. So I would give this place 5 stars. I have referred many friends here.

My daughter moved to this dentistry recently and she’s loved it. She said she was able to learn more about her teeth and appreciated the advice they gave her to have proper dental hygiene. She was real satisfied with the care and feels very comfortable there!

After several years of dread and always needing WORK done on my teeth, I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment. Anxiety built up inside me all day but I arrived, X-rays were taken, Sara checked and cleaned my teeth (no pain or sensitivity, she was super careful and gentle!) and then Dr. Kerr took a look. I was pleased that NOTHING had to be done; however, if it had, I am sure they would've taken great care to make it easy for me. I would highly recommend Vista Ridge Family Dentistry.

This office is AMAZING!! The front office staff is kind and caring. Dr. Kerr and Dr. Patel are so patient and caring as well. Being one that has serious dentist anxiety, Dr. Patel was comforting and reassuring that I was in the right place and she would take care of me. She and Sarah (my amazing hygienist) did just that. Thank you to Dr. Patel and Sarah for getting me through it!!
