MINT dentistry | Uptown

Terrible dentistry! I’m new to Dallas and all I hear about and see on advertisements is MINT, so I figured I’d give them a try. Visited for a cleaning and the hygienist cracked my tooth! When I had one of the MINT dentists follow up by checking my tooth to verify if it was cracked or not, he verified that the tooth was indeed cracked by his hygienist and stated I quote “the tooth needed to be worked on anyway, so it can be fixed after your root canal is completed”. I was appalled by his lack of empathy and refused to return to this dentistry. After this visit I was more inclined to not go back when I heard from previous clients who had bad experiences so I sought after another dentist. When I went to the initial consultation with my new dentist, I needed to have my Xrays from MINT sent over to avoid having new Xrays taken. I went for my visit and the receptionist for my new dentist informed me that they received the xrays but due to the terrible quality, they were unable to use them. She then says “I don’t know how MINT used these to give you a proper diagnoses, because they are really awful quality”. I wasn’t surprised by her response because MINT is ran by a bunch of children. During my visit with my new visit, we had to have new X-rays taken anyway, which I wasn’t happy about...$250 later. I will NEVER recommend to anyone or return to MINT dentistry.

I'm first and foremost terrified of going to the dentist. But the people at MINT make you feel so comfortable and do an excellent job of cleaning your teeth, minimum fear involved. Great place to go if you just moved to DTX and need to get your teeth cleaned.

My first experience at Mint Dentistry was very pleasant & smooth. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly & welcoming. My appointment was thorough & I left feeling good about my teeth health 🦷

I made an appt 2 weeks in advance online. I then called to make sure it was in-network. I called the morning of my visit and told them I had severe anxiety about going to the dentist and they said they would make sure to note that I needed nitrous. The lady on the phone was the same lady at the desk and she was really nice. However, I wasn't offered any ipads or headphones. I had already done the paperwork online so I sat in the waiting room. After 30 minutes they told me that I had been waiting because the nitrous machines were in use and asked if I wanted to continue waiting- they said about 10 more minutes. I said yes but wasn't called back for an additional 30 MINUTES! I told them I had anxiety and that waiting is only making me more anxious. The tech did my xrays and took me to a freezing room. She turned on a massage chair (which really only vibrates) and then left me to wait again for the doctor. I should mention though that the tech was very nice, I forget her name though. Dr. came in saying I have 3 cavities. Funny because my husband came a month before and they told him he had 3 cavities too on the exact same teeth! Coincidence? Maybe. Then she left and I waited AGAIN till someone came in and told me about the charges and my options. She told me my insurance plan was out-of-network! Even after I had called to verify. So I opted for just the cleaning. The cleaning itself took about 20 minutes- at which time the nitrous was finally given. 2.5 hours in and my anxiety was at an all time high. The nitrous didn't help much at that point. Oh, I forgot to mention that they told me I got free teeth whitening trays but that their machine was broken that day! Ha! They said I could come back for an additional 15 min appt to get the mold made. After waiting so long for a simple cleaning I said no thanks.
The people I encountered were overall nice and thats why I didn't give it the lowest score. Because of my wait they did give me a $50 credit towards the nitrous, which I really do appreciate it when companies try to fix something that goes wrong. However, 3 hours for a simple cleaning makes it not worth it so I will not be going back.
Also, my husband told me they gave him extra whitening if he gave a good review. He also waited about 40 minutes for his appointment.

I used to hate dentists and would wait years to visit, but after visiting MINT dentistry, I have realized that taking care of your teeth is painless and affordable when working with such a an amazing organization and staff.

Kimberli, Torie and DR. B were so friendly, caring, quick and they made me feel really welcome and at home.
The office was also spotless!
You get to listen to your favorite pandora station, with beat headphones, massage chair, and polarized sun glasse..it’s wild.

I got my root canal done in less than an hour!!! And honestly the most painful part was a quick pinch when getting the numbing shot.

Final words are, if you are needing to visit the dentist... there is no competition .. MINT is the Best in the business.

I want to start by saying I like Mint dintistry. I have wrote many positive reviews. But I recently transferred to Mint Uptown and it was an absolutely horrible experience. The staff at the front were extremely nice and polite that is the only reason for one star at all...But as soon as I got past them it was down hill from there. My hygienist Sonny was the worst hygienist I’ve ever had. I don’t even know why she chose that as a profession. I felt as though it was a race to see how quickly she could get me out of there, like they get paid per patient. If that’s the case today’s visit was a complete rip off. She was extremely rude and when I asked for a whitening tray I could tell she was upset and didn’t want to do it. As a result my tray doesn’t even conform to my teeth. (Go figure) She was extremely aggressive when taking the X-ray of my teeth and when it came to cleaning it was a very rushed job. My teeth don’t even feel like I just paid to get them cleaned. I know she rushed because I have a perminant retainer and usually when I get my teeth cleaned they will use a tool that gets in between my retainer and gums and all she did was go on top of it. The dentist literally came and spoke to me for no more than 2 minutes. So I mean can’t really say much there. She must be paid by the patient too because she told me she would recommend me an orthodontist but didn’t even give me a name. To sum it up horrible experience and definitely transferring back to mockingbird location. The further drive and longer wait is definitely worth the level of care I received there.

Also please note if you leave a positive review they will give you free whitening so I assume I won’t be receiving that.

Professional team all across the board. Nice, clean atmosphere and a willingness to answer any concerns or questions. Have been here three times, and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to been seen. I show up about 10 minutes till for each appointment and am alwaus greeted with a smile.

Very pleased with this office they all work as a team to get you in & out without having you wait too long. The staff is very nice & the Doctors take the time to explain the treatment. I definitely recommend this office! 😊

Never been so unscared to get a filling. These people know their stuff yet the cost is so reasonable even if you don't have insurance. I LOVE Mint Dentistry 💓

The staff is very friendly & professional! My Hygienist (Nikki), is kind, easy to talk to and laugh with!! At one point, I got very nervous, and wanted to leave. Again, there was Nikki to the rescue!!! She made me feel comfortable!!!
Prayers, Pandora & Nikki... I'll be back if I can have these 3!!!! 😇👍
