West Davis Dental

I have been coming to West Davis Dental for 12+ years. I have no dental insurance and pay my dental bill out of pocket. I have always used coupon mailers to assist me with this out of pocket yearly dental exam and cleaning expense.Last year, when checking out, they gave me a hard sell on purchasing their "dental coverage plan" for $192, which I was not ready to purchase and told them I would consider it. This year, I received another mailer coupon, which offered a cash price for noninsured clients for $50 cleaning and $39 exam and xrays. I presented the new colored coupon brochure to the check in personal and filled out the same paperwork I am asked to fill out every year. The check in lady comes back several minutes later with a black and white printed piece of paper with "new " prices of $75 for cleaning and $69 for exam/xrays. I stated that I had just received that brochure with the $50 and $39 prices in the mail and that I felt like they should honor those prices, since it was a brand new brochure that I had just received weeks before. They then sent the office manager "Josie" out to talk to me. She didn't invite me back to her office and instead stood behind the counter to discuss this matter, in front of others, who were waiting in the reception area. Josie refused to honor the prices in the brochure and stated they had "warned me last year, that I needed to purchase their $192 dental plan, in order to receive a discount price". She refused to complete my cleaning or exam until I paid for the $192 dental plan, which she continued to insist, was what I "needed to have", or pay the "new prices" which totaled to $144. I have NEVER had to pay for my dental services before my services were rendered, EVER, in the 12+ years I have been going to West Davis Dental! I asked to speak to Dr E, the owner of this dental practice and was told he was "at lunch". I paid the $192 for the dental plan, but told Josie I was completely uncomfortable and not happy with what had transpired. I told Yolanda, my hygienist ( (who I love and think she is the best dental hygienist on this planet!) that I needed to vent and recanted what had just taken place with Josie and that I was very unhappy about all of it. I asked Yolanda to please get the brochure I had given the front desk and that I would like to show it and discuss it with Dr. E. Yolanda was very courteous and supportive and told me she would get the brochure I had given them and show it to Dr E. Yolanda came back after going up to the front desk to get my brochure and informed me that Josie, the office manager, had shredded my brochure, but that Yolanda discussed the circumstances with Dr. E., who gave Josie instruction to honor the prices that were in the original brochure I had provided them at check in ($50, $39). Josie then stated that they "will never again honor any brochures I brought in from now on and implied that the brochure had somehow been falsified. I asked her how could I falsify or be in possession of a brand new colored brochure, that was identical to the brochures they mail out? Josie had no answer for that but continued to insist that the only way they would provide me a discount on my services there, would be through my purchase of their $192 dental plan. I again asked to speak with Dr E. before I left, which Josie again denied me the opportunity to speak with him. I stated to Josie and Yolanda, that I wanted a call from Dr. E., before he left the office that day.
It's been 3 days and I still have not received a call from the owner Dr. E.
Josie's demeanor was rude, unprofessional, offensive and completely unacceptable! Her behavior should not have to be tolerated by anybody, no less a long term client, who has been loyal to that dental practice for 12+ years! Her behavior was insulting and beyond shameful!
I rate Yolanda 5 stars and still think she is an amazing hygienist, but the rest of my visit at West Davis Dental rates a "0". I do not plan on going back to West Davis Dental any time soon.Time to look for another dental practice.......

I highly recommend West Davis Dental and am so glad I followed my mother's advice to use them as my new provider! ;-) The staff and dentist were wonderful and it is a fabulous environment! Best of all, when I got my explanation of benefits that required a refund, I cringed at the thought of dealing with a billing department; however, they called me back immediately and Gus refunded me right away, over the phone! Never have I had such an easy experience!!!

I have been a customer of this clinic for a few years, but my last visit was a disaster, I informed the dentist that I had pain in a tooth and that it needed to be repaired, the dentist said that she could only do something to my tooth if I did a deep cleaning on the gum and didn't fix my tooth, she let me go in pain, now the same tooth broke, this could have been avoided if the dentist was more efficient, I called West Davis to complain and the receptionist informed me that the manager would come in contact me asap but this never happened, the manager never returned my call. Terrible and unprofessional service from both the dentist and the manager.

My experience was amazing. The staff, especially the clinical staff, was so professional, kind, and compassionate. The hygienist was best I've ever experienced. She expertly narrated everything she was doing during my cleaning, was cheerful and confident. It was the most enjoyable dental visit I've had in years.

Brought my son in on Saturday for a last minute appointment. The service was outstanding 👏. The staff made him feel so comfortable with his treatment. He was very nervous and they talked him through the entire visit. I have never been to a dentist or doctors office where the entire staff are pleasant, happy to help and so engaged with the patient. His treatment was fast and they did the entire procedure the same day without hesitation. I was also nervous to bring him due to covid but once we arrived I noticed the office was taking the necessary precautions.

I chipped a filling in one of my front teeth, I called Davis Dental and they got me at 7am the next morning. When I arrived check in was fast and friendly. I was taken back had x-rays and was then asked if I would like a cleaning done since I was past due. (I am deathly afraid of Dental work) but I agreed and the hygienist was very gentle and sweet. Then dentist came in and assessed me. I had three other fillings that needed to be replaced along side the chipped one. They gave me the quote and proceeded to replace the fillings. The dentist took her time numbing me so it would be less painful, she explained everything and gave me the option to take a break if I needed it. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I will be less anxious next time.

I absolutely love this Practice. The ease of scheduling appointments- the professional office staff, the quality of work- all are reasons why I have been a patient for years. Prior to visiting West Davis Dental I had been going to my dentist (for 12 years)- I would visit him every six months for cleanings, never needed any major dental work. I was sitting in the chair after the hygienist cleaned my teeth, the doctor walks in and does an exam, shakes his head and states 'why don't you go to Monarch or some other place to get your teeth cleaned, I've seen you for years and I don't make any money off just cleaning your teeth- he wasn't joking. Stunned at his lack of appreciation for being a long term, regular patient- I said ok. Guess what - I did just that. My next cleaning was with West Davis Dental, and I've never been happier. I have eventually had to have more significant dental work done and couldn't be happier that it was with a practice that actually appreciates my business, which they clearly do. It also makes me happy that my x dentist didn't get the money from the procedures. Here's an example of how exceptional they are, last week I went in and had a cleaning had x-rays and they identified two teeth that needed crowns. (They were running a special Black Friday 50% off- another great thing West Davis does is they periodically run amazing specials) - today when I went in to get the crowns the dentist said 'after reviewing your chart and what we had planned for today, I really think we can do one crown and fix the other with simply replacing the filling' I was so thankful for their honesty. I had a crown done and will have the filling replaced in the near future- I had prepaid for the two expected crowns....when I was checking out the receptionist said we will refund your card since the second crown wasn't necessary- I didn't even have to ask.... this is exceptional service. Bottom line is. West Davis Dental has the highest integrity- professionalism. The quality of their work is unmatched.... If looking for a solid practice that exceeds your expectations, then look no further- West Davis Dental is that practice.

This was my first visit to West Davis Dental and I was delighted. Everyone was friendly. All of the procedures went well and no pain.

It has been a minute since I visited a dentist. I had to start over and find a
new one. I had read many good reviews for West Davis Dental and decided to book my appointment. I am glad I did. They were wonderful.
The place was clean and organized. The crew was very upbeat and funny! Especially for a 7:00AM appointment!
I am glad I got started with my dental needs with them!

While I was a patient there things were great. However I started paying for a procedure and then we moved out of the area. I have been calling since October of 2021 and the office manager is oddly never in the office and I am always promised a call back. All I want is my refund of $2,000
