I went in when Texas shutdown due to Covid-19 in March, and was told a simple cracked tooth would need lots of work and an unneeded root canal. When I asked why so much work was needed, I was told "It just is proper." I felt like I was being gouged because there was no business there and the facility was trying to recoup their loss of money due to Covid. Fast forward two months later and I receive an email with an 'Altered plan' stating they think MORE work is needed without me even going in! The priced was raised by over $1500! I went to two other Dentists just to see if my gut feeling was correct, and guess what? I didn't need a root canal and shame on them for taking advantage of people in trying times! (Both outside Dentists were not told of Hudson Oaks Families findings until after examines and they could not believe how bizarre and off my charts were being treated)
