Dr. Nichols, along with Dr. Steven Hill, was wonderful. They completely rebuilt my invalid brother's teeth, with implants on the top and bottom. When one tooth broke, they graciously replaced it - and my brother didn't even bite anyone during the replacement.

I highly recommend Dr. Nichols's office to anyone looking for a caring, honest, and effective dentist. I am a very anxious dental patient and recently had a terrifying experience at Aspen Dental (I definitely DO NOT recommend them). I went to Dr. Nichols's office to fix the problems Aspen caused and to get better care.
Amber and Leesa, two of the administrative staff, were extremely helpful and helped me get an appointment at a time that was convenient for me.
I saw Dr. Modery and Alicia, a dental assistant, on my first visit and had a great experience. They were both gentle and accommodating. Alicia is patient and very knowledgeable. Dr. Modery is the type of nerd you definitely want working on your teeth -- he seemed genuinely interested in understanding and fixing the problem I had on my tooth.
I saw Dr. Nichols on my second visit for a comprehensive exam. She took her time to explain and to answer my questions. I left this visit feeling like I understood my care plan and will be able to follow through with it.

We tried to get an appointment with Dr. Nichols and after reading online regarding their payment policies we knew we would be okay. We do not have dental insurance so it is no big deal on the cost because her website says they had 3 levels of cost. We go to the dentist regularly, however my daughter is a student at Texas Tech and needed a local dentist so we called Dr. Nichols. Her receptionist immediately said when she found out we did not have insurance that it would cost almost 400.00 for a cleaning without asking any questions regarding dental history. I guess she just automatically assumed we never went to the dentist and had poor dental habits and we never went to the dentist. I don't know, but if a regular cleaning cost $400.00 that is insane and we will find a less money hungry dentist that cared about their patients. We could have paid that money but I would never support someone who just treated a new potential patient so carelessly.

Went in recently for a regular checkup and cleaning. The office staff was friendly. They explained that they were considered out of network for my dental insurance (and all others insurances) very clearly and my cost was about $85 for cleaning and xrays. I can honestly say that for the first time EVER I didn't feel like I was being "sold" on dental services. I would say that they have a very fair and conservative approach to dentistry. Choose this office over some of the larger more commercial type offices here in Lubbock.
