Nephi Smiles and Orthodontics

My daughter brought my granddaughter up from southern Utah to repair a cavity and have her spacer replaced. The 300 plus mile drive and two nights in a motel room to make this appointment were for not, as the dentist was not able to perform any work on her. When she made the appointment a month ago she did so so that the correct dentist that would be able to do that work would be in the office. Now they want her to reschedule in two weeks. It cost me over $500 to make that appointment only to be asked to reschedule later. I've read several great reviews So it's hard for me to understand why the doctor cannot help when he knows the patient lives so far away. The closest dentists to where they live does not work on children so we have no choice but to bring her up north. I'm very disappointed.

In our most recent visits, we were taken care of in an emergency situation. My wife needed a root canal and Dr Swan did it immediately rather than a return visit. Then this past week, I had a broken tooth and he extracted it on that same visit. We live 45 miles away and so that was appreciated. Thanks Nephi Smiles and Dr Swan.

When Dr Swan came into the business we thought of going closer like Delta but we decided to give him a try and glad we did. We enjoy a dentist that is friendly and of course competent and he is both. We also enjoy the office staff!

Awesome Dentist and staff. They don’t get any better than these girls. They are all very friendly and easy to talk to. The dentists are very efficient with their time and we have never had to wait more than a couple minutes.

Nephi Smiles is a professional and thorough dental office. The hygienist is awesome and Dr. Yates communicates clearly what is needed.

This office is amazing. My toddler (2) and I (28) both love this place. The staff, & dr. Swan is so caring. Always making sure we are taken care of and if we have any questions before leave..
I highly recommend them.

These guys are amazing! I wasn't able to get a babysitter, and had to bring the kids with me to my appointment. Nephi Smiles was friendly and super accepting of my situation.

What dentist and his staff personally walks out to greet you and your kids, makes conversation and plays with your kids for a few minutes prior to taking them back for their procedure and/or checkup, in an attempt to ease their nervous little bodies of the "Big Bad Dentist?" This one does!! Dr. Hulse and his staff are absolutely amazing! They have been great to ease my little ones into being comfortable with any type of dental procedure. I have been thoroughly impressed with Dr. Hulse time and time again. Not only is he exceptional with children, but his work with adults is amazing too. He will forever be our family dentist! Thanks Nephi Smiles for making our trips to the dentist a lot less painful. :)

I love going to Nephi Smiles. The staff is so friendly and good with my kids. Dr Swan and Dr. Swan are great at what they do, quality work. They are all so gentle and patient.

Absolutely terrible!!! I had taken all my kids there and at first thought they were great, however, that soon changed. Of the two children that needed work, it was recommended that they be put under. They were 4 and 3 at the time. When my daughter was sedated I went to go back with her while they did the work, and they tried to give me a hard time about it. While working on my daughter's teeth, the dental assistants were making comments about how if it was their child, they would never be in the room while the work was being done. That was strike 1 for me. My daughter had about 3 caps put on her teeth. A few months later one came off. Then a few months after that, a different cap came off while we were out of state. I called the office to see if I needed to get her in to a dentist where I was at so it didn't get infected. They told me no and that it would be fine for the next 4 days until we got back and we could get her in. We went in, had the cap replaced and they sent us on our way. A month later, my daughter started complaining that her tooth hurt her. I looked at it and it was extremely swollen and clearly infected. I took her back in and they said there must of been stuff stuck in the hole of the tooth when they caped it off again. Because the infection was so bad, they had to pull her tooth out. That was strike 2. Now on to my son. When we took him in, he only had a cavity between his front two teeth because they are so close together. They drilled out the cavity and put in a white filling. A few months later I noticed it started getting discolored. I took him back in and they told me it was normal. That was the last time I had went there until we moved. A few months ago my sons filling ended up falling out. I took him to an actual pediatric dentist, and while looking at his X-rays and his mouth, they showed me that he had an infection in the roots and that both teeth would have to be pulled. That was strike 3. I am extremely disappointed with this place and how they practice. I would never recommend this office to anyone and if I were you, I would steer clear of them forever!!!
