Not a receptionist mind you, not an assistant, but him.. the Dentist.

Mine does.
And I think that's pretty cool.

His name is Jared. Jared Wolthuis. They call him Dr. Jared, and his dad is Dr. Bart, (I assume because of how hard it is to pronounce their last name, even for them!)

But what's easy for them, is keeping you informed, and making you feel at ease, and as comfortable as one can be with their hand in your mouth.

And sure, there was a little more profuse bleeding than I thought was normal for a routine cleaning, and then, making me help them mop up my own blood did seem a bit tacky.

And yes, it is rather unsettling to hear the unmistakable sounds of people crying out in pain and screaming in agony, coming from behind the locked door of a corner room. Is it me, or is it weird that there's a little sign on the door that reads, "Unpaid/Delinquent Accounts"?

But heck, that's easy to forget and forgive when the staff is so helpful & courteous, and when their smiles are genuine, you don't feel like a paying customer or patient file number, you feel like a friend of the family.

Outstanding service, I was very relaxed which is not normal for me. The entire staff from the dentist on down were great. Special shout out to my dental hygienist Dawn, she was amazing. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend if you are looking for a Dentist Canyon Dental is it.

Each experience I've had here has been amazing! Comfortable and headache free. What an awesome staff! Dawn, the hygienist has been an angel and Jaime at the front desk has been a dream to work with.

The dentists are very professional and kind. They have a very friendly staff and they will ensure your visit is very comfortable. I had some dental work and the dentist personally followed up later that evening to see how I was feeling. I recommend Canyon Dental. Check them out.

I rarely leave reviews, but I loved this office so much I had to give them a 5 star. I took my daughter to the adult side of this office today for a filling that needed to be replaced and I was amazed at how nice everyone was! We definitely felt welcome. The dentist was quick, personable and did an amazing job. Much better than our last dentist. I highly recommend this office!

Extremely disappointed. I was looking for a new dentist after moving and gave Dr Bart a try. I had scheduled cleanings and exams. The dental hygienist wasn’t even working that day so we were told to schedule a different day for a cleaning. Outdated doesn’t even begin to cover what we experienced. I was told I had 10 cavities and needed to come in 5 different days for work. I had a different opinion from my previous dentist and have only 3. They had to redo X-rays due to the style of Canyon Dental being so far behind. The receptionists were polite, but clueless. The computer system crashed one day I was trying to schedule, then when I was on the phone with them the phones crashed. I’m sorry, but it is time to retire. There was no reason to go through what we did and get misinformation just to try and charge us for stuff we don’t need. BEWARE THEY ARE EXTREMELY OUTDATED AND YOU DONT GET WHAT YOU SCHEDULE.

Best Dentist's Ever!!! Dr. Bart and Dr. Jared are amazing. I have personally worked with both of these Doctors and they do equally great work. They are both kind and honest and will leave your mouth feeling brand new. If your scared of your current dentist or have had a bad experence, come here!! They will change the way you feel about going to the dentist!! Lo e love love these guys♡♡♡

I am a dentist and when I needed work done, I didn't hesitate to call Dr. Wolthuis to do my work. He did an excellent job and I've been happy with the results. As a dentist, he is someone I trust to work in my own mouth.

Got charged 600$ for dentist to stick his finger in my 2 year olds mouth and go hmmm… looks good!

Listen, do they clean your teeth? Yes. But do they have even the slightest concept of customer service? Absolutely not.

My girlfriend came here to get her teeth cleaned only for them to screw up her appointment scheduling twice. Beyond that, she was brutally interrogated by the receptionist about her billing despite the fact that the entire appointment was on her parents insurance, meaning she shouldn’t need to have any personal involvement in the payment process.
