Haslam Dental - Dentist Ogden

The Haslam Dental team is the best there is! They have known me by my first name since I first walked through the door. They are personally, friendly, kind, efficient, knowledgeable, and so much more. 10/10 would recommend Haslam Dental.

Today I had to get a root canal. It went really well I think. I haven't been to that office in 6 years and they have completely redone it and it's wonderful. I got to watch TV while listening on headphones while they were doing the work. How cool is that? I was comfortable the whole time and the procedure was painless. Doctor Jake did a great job.

From the initial phone call to walking me out the door after the appointment, everyone was as helpful and friendly as can be. Everyone in the office has superb communication skills and seems to truly care. The dentist and hygienist worked together seamlessly and I had ZERO pain despite the work I needed to have done on my tooth. Excellent experience!

The absolute best!! My experiences with Doctor Haslam and the office staff are the best that I have ever had anywhere, period! These people are the nicest, most caring, polite professionals I have ever dealt with in the Dental Industry! And I can and have asked a million questions and they answer them all!

I love this office, front office staff is always so great and they try to accommodate my schedule, always call if they Can get me in earlier. I have been coming to this office for years and trust them. Dr. Haslam is amazing and does his best to make sure his patients are comfortable. I won’t go to another dentist.

Terrible experience with Haslam six months into switching. The staff was friendly all the way up until billing.

I was recommended them by a friend after have a persistent toothache my last dentist dismissed.

The staff at Haslam seemed knowledgeable and friendly. They gave me a check up, and two weeks later I took them up on the fix for the toothache. Sure enough there was decay the X-rays weren't showing.

They drilled and sealed. The work wasn't shotty, but it was a little too tight. I didn't think much of it at the time.

I have dual dental insurance, both of which are decent. I was given what I owed after insurance and paid it after my appointments.

The problems start:
They wanted to do the same work on the other side. Despite me saying that it wasn't hurting. So I canceled because it's kind of hard for me to take off of work. But I kept getting calls and texts for the next 2 weeks until I firmly told the office that I would not like follow up on this service and I would let them know if I change my mind.

I get a bill 2 months later saying I owe an additional $200 for the second service. I called and paid, asking for an explanation of why their prices varied from what I received in the office versus what I'm now getting 2 months later to which I got no explanation.

Another member of my household had some additional services done with Haslam just after mine. We also paid their copays for over $300 after their appointment. And we got a call today saying we owed an additional $300! And this has been our snapping point and why I'm writing this review.

This boils down to almost $1,000 outside of insurance in less than a half a year for simple services. And they would have loved to have done more

I think that they seem very nice at first but after having to have dealt with them is definitely feels like everything we've done has just been about the money. I get it dentistry is a business, but it's a service business and this is not a service that I would recommend using in the long run. Or possibly even the short run (1 clean up and a filling is enough for me).

Side Note: To make matters worse I don't think they properly sealed my whole tooth cuz I'm still getting some small pains lower down where I was before a few months later. But this is an ongoing thing that I'm figuring out. I'm just happy I don't have to figure it out with these guys anymore

If I could leave more than 5 stars I would! The staff here is friendly and professional. Dr. Haslam is quick, thorough, and accurate. I even bring my daughter here, who just turned 4. They are wonderful with her and she doesn't mind going to the dentist at all; even looks forward to it! I would highly recommend this dentistry to anyone interested.
