After speaking with my lactation consultant over the phone and giving her the symptoms we were able to make a decent assumption that my son had a lip tie or possibly a tongue tie. I traveled from my home in SoCal to Southern Utah when my son was 6 weeks old and was able to have him seen first by Dr. Eagar at Gateway Dental (referral from Aditi at Sound Start Lactation) to have my son evaluated for a lip and tongue tie. Turns out that he has a severe case of BOTH! Dr. Eagar showed me both ties during the exam and really made sure I understood the benefits of the release procedure. As a new mom I was a bit stressed out and worried but they made the process as stress free as it could have been. They did use a Co2 laser for the actual release which significantly helped with the healing (already looking so much better!). We were able to feed immediately after in one of their private rooms, my little guy was so strong! 48 hours after the procedure I had a follow up appointment with Aditi where we went over in depth the oral stretches to help my sons tongue and lip reattach correctly. We are 1 week from the procedure and he is healing so well! We are continuing to do the oral stretches 5x a day and he is improving daily! His ability to latch and eat without pain or upset has improved so much, I cannot express how grateful I am to everyone involved! Thank you!!

Dr. Eagar is the best! I needed to have a tooth extracted, which I wanted done according to the Huggins Protocol, i.e. the ligament removed with ozone et al. After the anesthesia wore off, I experienced no pain and it healed very quickly (with the help of diluted Uncle Harry's Miracle Mouthwash....I love this stuff!) I appreciate the extent of Dr. Eagar's education and experience as a BioDentist.
