For a long time I wasn't big on going to the dentist. My fear of going to the dentist was equivalent to my fear of getting older and having to one day experience getting a prostate exam. That all changed a few years back when a group of cavities told me I had to seek out a dentist. A friend of mine referred me to Fisher Distinctive Dentistry and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely friendly and the dentists were very knowledgeable and informative. The first experience eliminated any past fears of going to the dentist I had. I can proudly say that I still go to Fisher Distinctive Dentistry for all of my oral needs.

I’m petrified of the dentist. So, when my tooth cracked, I cried at the mere thought of calling for an exam. A friend recommended Fisher, but I questioned any place with all 5 star reviews. Still, I trust my friend.
I’m also a manager in the health care industry. So I know that support staff is critical to patient care. When I called to schedule an appointment, I spoke with Jackie. My fear was so high that I was literally crying while on the phone with her. By the time our conversation ended, I thought if the medical staff is as competent and calming as her, I’ve found a dentist for life.
Jackie represents the clinic perfectly. I’d expected to use nitrous oxide to survive, but everyone was so wonderful that I got through full mouth RADs and a deep cleaning with no fear. And my cracked tooth? Years of neglect; it was tartar build-up. Because of Dr. Zak and his team, I will be back to have the rest of my dental work done and keep up with regular treatments from here on out.

Everything seems intentionally set for comfort. The lobby has big cozy couches, the colors on the walls are modern but soft, and they play the right music (think not obnoxious elevator music). Shoot, they even have disposable toothbrushes in the bathroom and chapstick at the counter!
It is fantastic when an practitioner understands that even if they are the best in their field, the environment impacts a patient’s ability to feel treated well. I thank the folks at FDD for caring about the whole person!
