I went there with mouth pain and left with mouth pain. The diagnosis was a cracked molar and was given a referral to an Endodontist. I asked the dentist if he could clean the crack and put something in it to relieve the pain. He said no. I had a cracked molar once before, my old dentist did something temporary to relieve pain, then root canal. And later a crown. The office theses guys referred me.to can’t see me for a month. Perhaps these folks are good at general stuff. Kind of like the oil change place. Ok for maintenance, but not for more serious fixes. Hours later I’m in a lot of pain and will have to make calls on a Saturday to try to get some relief.

Great experience. I was supposed to get a cap on my wisdom tooth and the tooth in front of the wisdom tooth. I only had a cap on the tooth in front of my wisdom tooth.

BE CAREFUL when you choose a dentist !!
I recently visited the dentist Dr. Thomas F Charapata for a cleaning service and for checking my teeth. I was informed that I have two cavities that need to be filled and based on these positive reviews I trusted this dentist and I decided to get the treatment done with him even though this treatment exceeded my informed consent. I did not have any pain before starting the treatment with Dr Thomas. The first day of cleaning went very well with the assistant Chris. I do much appreciate her service. I decided to follow up the treatment with the dentist. I did not expect I would get any filling problems with him. The first day of treatment with Dr Thomas, was on May 18th. I noted he left the treatment in the middle and let one of his assistants work for a few minutes on my teeth using some tools. Then he came back and continued the filling treatment. I spent many days suffering from the pain of the tooth #2 and until now I am still not able to eat on the right side. My health is at risk by being negligent. I requested to be seen again, and an appointment was made, when I met with him, he told me I need to go to Wisconsin endodontic to get the root canal treatment for that tooth.
June 8 was also assigned for the filling treatment service of the second tooth. Before his treatment I had no pain on this tooth. After the treatment it got worse. I feel an extreme pain in my nerves and jaw. I requested to get it fixed but he was delaying my treatment and failed to treat my dental condition. His assistant made me an appointment after three weeks while I am suffering from severe pain. I sustain temporary or permanent injuries to the nerves of my jaw and teeth owing to the mistake and/or negligence on the dentist's part. Failure and/or delay to diagnose or treating my dental condition is still causing me extreme pain.
I was obliged to go for emergency treatment to another dentist who also confirmed based on the x-rays that my nerve injury is mainly due to his treatment when he went in depth on the nerves. It also requires two root canal treatment to be done ASAP for both teeth and not just the first one.
The dentist received all his payments for the service he provided. I request to uphold the acceptable standard of care to treat what was caused. I did request I receive the right and urgent treatment on return. I sent them three emails, but they did not want to reply and to follow up. They also denied paying the provider for the treatment I need which was caused by his malpractice.
The dentist received all his payment from me and from my insurance and he did not care about me, he keeps me suffering with the extreme pain. I will need to file my complaint and contact a third party to resolve this problem and to stop him treating other patients like that.
Note this review does not apply to the other doctors of The Dentists South Shore. If you decide to go there for any treatment just make sure you choose a different and competent dentist.

It was great, I was completely comfortable and they made me feel like I was a long time patient not a new one.
