The staff was great and the dental work was good too, but for some reason their local anesthetic contained epinephrine (adrenaline). I was not informed of the epinephrine before it was injected and my whole body had a very uncomfortable and fairly strong jittery reaction that lasted about 20 minutes. They explained that it acts as a vasoconstrictor to help with the depth and duration of the anesthetic, and they noted on my chart not to give it again. I appreciate how they handled the reaction but would have preferred not to be injected with Adrenaline in the first place. I was also told the numbing would last about another hour after my appointment but it lasted the next 8 hours until I went to bed, and at that time it had only diminished by about half.

Coming from a mother who has a young son on the autism spectrum, dentist office visits are something we specifically 'dread' going to. This was our first time at Mineral Point Family, and although we walked through those doors feeling apprehensive, as any other time we've taken our son to the dentist, we walked out with not only huge, happy, clean smiles, but our son saying to me, "This was the best day of my life!" Their staff were all beyond patient, nurturing, and understanding to our unique situation, but also sculpted and adapted to suit our son and his needs in the most loving fashion that day. HIGHLY recommend! Fantastic facility!
