I am a long-time patient and love the staff at Hoover Family Dentistry. I began with Dr. Yates in Bessemer and moved with them to Hoover. Just had a 6 month cleaning and checkup. They are always friendly, thorough, and sincere in their care. For someone who had a phobia of the dentist from a young age, these folks cured me!

These girls are awesome! I had a last minute cleaning scheduled at Helena Road Dentistry 2 months in advance for my wedding this Sunday. Got a call the morning of saying they were cancelling the appointment, after I had taken off work for it. I called around and Hoover Family Dentistry booked me in the day of, got right to me when I showed up 30 minutes early, and cleaned my teeth better than any dentist I’ve ever visited. They were all extremely nice. Can’t recommend them enough. They’ve earned all my future business.

I have been going to Hoover family for so many years, awesome staff and Doctors. I have changed my review from 5 stars to 4 stars because they don’t have any time at all for a lot of us due to growing popularity. Instead of extending hours, a lot of us are left holding our phones, hoping for a cancellation to happen, and being the first lucky caller to win the grand prize of an appointment. 🤷🏾♂️ thanks for the years of wonderful service… I’m out.

Everyone at Hoover Family Dentistry is great. From the ladies at the front, to the dental hygienists, to the Dentist. The dental hygienists are gentle and are helpful in helping you find ways to better take care of your oral health.

Top notch service and friendly staff. Recently lost a filling (a previous dentist) and needed a crown. Hoover Fam fixed in one day! No temporary. They have on site permanent crown creation. Impressive.

Anastasia was unprofessional when I called to schedule an appointment about a cavity. She said “well you don’t have a cavity in your chart”. No… BUT IM TELLING YOU I HAVE A CAVITY I NEED FIXING. Why give me so much backlash? Also, they are not affordable if you don’t have dental insurance. I’m a student pharmacist and waiting to start my job to get dental insurance again around May. I was willing to pay out of pocket for a evaluation and to fix the cavity. They were gonna require me to pay for a $200 cleaning and full X-rays plus $80 evaluation before we even fixed the tooth. Found a dentist who only charged/required a $25 evaluation and got me in same day. My interaction with Hoover Family Dentistry today was disappointing after using this office since I was a child.

This dental office totally disregarded value of my time(patient). And they have poor business practice. I don't think it is appropriate to ask for a persons credit card number in the new patient form- before any services are rendered. And the. Change the credit card without informing me!
