Murphree Dental

I liked the receptionist up front. She was very nice and polite. I liked the assistant that helped Dr. Murphee. I believe her name was Holly. I liked Dr. Murphee okay until he put the oral gel on my daughter's gums and then turned right around and started giving her the shots! You have to give it a few minutes to start numbing! Therefore she felt all the pain of the shots. I knew she was hurting when I saw her gripping the arm of the chair! I told him that she had been traumatized by a dentist when she was little and that's why she has so much anxiety when she goes to the dentist! But you can best believe he won't do it again when we go back in November because I am going to let him know about it before hand.

I seen Dr Murphree today!!! The experience was really nice. I came in a lot of pain, and even though I left in pain, he took care of me! Very gentle and thorough!!!! The entire staff was nice and patient!!!! They worked me in and even though they worked me in I didn’t wait more than 20 minutes after my appointment time! I live in Dothan, but I will definitely be making Dr Murphree my primary dentist. Nobody tried to force me into having procedures I didn’t need at the time or nothing, I appreciate that! Thanks again! I definitely recommend.

The place is a bit old, but they are kind and they accept Medicaid, so my children can go there. The doctor is easy-going and good with kids. I do wish they had a choice of toothpaste flavors, as my kid hates mint, but it's not really a huge deal. I don't like it that they ask her to swallow the fluoride after applying on her teeth. I would rather it was rinsed - but they say it's safe, so... Receptionists are very polite, and there is a little vending machine with small toys. Kids get a token at the end of the visit and they get to "buy" a toy. Also, although the waiting room is not super modern, it is clean and there is a fish tank. I'm grateful for this place, as no other place would take my little one on Medicaid.

I have known this office staff for over 25 years. They are patient oriented and go above and beyond to help their patients. The receptionist Regina is exceptional and very caring. Dr Murphree will not turn a hurting patient away even if it interferes with his schedule. Today I had a cracked tooth that had abscessed. I didn’t have an appointment but Regina worked it out, got me in and the issue was taken care of. You can’t find this kind of service anywhere else. Thanks Dr. Murphree and Regina!

I liked Dr. Murphee, he actually spent a little time with me talked to explain things so I could understand. Went over all my options and we came up with a game plan. I can't wait to get started after my insurance approval.

I have had positive experiences every time I have had work done. Today was a mixed bag. The dental assistant was very short borderline rude from beginning to end. Dr. Murphee is someone I would recommend, but I was disappointed with the assistant. At check out the lady at the desk was very kind and helpful.

All the staff I had contact with were polite and professional. Dr. Murphree took care of my dental problem quickly and efficiently.

This place was just weird. The dr. Seemed like he was in a rush and spent literally 30 seconds in the room for a new patient. How in the world can you say my children didn't have any cavities when an x-ray wasn't even taken? Cavities are not always seen from just looking at the teeth for 10 seconds! They can be inside or between the teeth. I won't be back.

I went in PAIN and I left in PAIN I have never seen/been to an dentist like this before and not once did he try to help with pain.I feel like I was an rush job.

My family have been using Dr. Murphree since my children were little and they have always been amazing. My youngest son who turns 20 this month is autistic and has ADHD and they are fantastic with him. He has never seen any other dentist. Highly recommend them
