I recently had a mishap with a temporary partial and needed a new one made urgently. I explained to the office how I was so self conscious about it that I missed a day of work and wouldnโt leave my house without a mask and they scheduled me in the same day, Thursday, which was awesome, I was so grateful. They took the impressions and told me it would be a few days; I was disappointed it couldn't be done in office, same day, like my previous dentist, but what can you do. I called the office early Friday morning to tell them how my last one had to be remade โ but thankfully in office โ due to it not being long enough, and was assured it wouldnโt be a problem. I received a call the next Wednesday that it was ready. I was in a huge rush but would have to wait another day or two if didn't get down there, so I made my way down immediately, tried it on to check the fit, and left. I didn't realize until I got home that I was unhappy with how it looked, specifically because itโs not long enough, and when I called to see what could be done about it, was told Iโd have to go without it again while the problem was fixed. I then asked about just having another one made entirely, because itโs evident Iโm not comfortable being without one, but when I was about to be put on hold yet again, I told her to just forget it. Now I get to go pay for another whole new one to correct a problem that shouldnโt exist in the first place. This is just crazy! At first I was so impressed with the efficiency of this office, and now Iโm just blown away at the lack of consideration shown to this particular problem, especially after I specifically called about it in an attempt to avoid this happening in the first place. It wouldโve been SO NICE to have a dentist office so close to my house, but I guess Iโll just keep driving 45 minutes out of the way.

I am 56 years old (pertinent to the story) Last week, a cap that had been in my mouth had fallen out after 4 years in my mouth . I went to Signal Butte Dentistry to have it re-cemented. I was told that they could get me in the following Friday for an appointment to cement my cap.
After going in with my cap in my possession, I was told that it "no longer fit" even though it had fit fine the day before. When I put the cap in my mouth and bit down, it fit perfectly. I just needed something to hold it in there.
I was told by the dentist that at 56 years old my tooth had erupted and or grown - even after it had previously been given a root canal and ground down years ago - because the cap no longer fit on my tooth. I obviously knew that wasn't the truth, because I was able to make the tooth fit just fine.
I was told that the existing cap/crown had to go, and I had the choice of coming back and having them fit me for a crown created at the lab for a price of approximately $1200, or if I preferred, they could create a crown for me in the office; however, it would be substantially more expensive. I chose the lab-created crown, as it was the last tooth at the back of my mouth and could not be seen clearly anyway.
I showed up today and was now told that in addition to fitting me for a crown, the dentist also had to numb me and do some additional dental work. I explained that no one advised me about that before, and that I didn't want additional drilling done. I just wanted a cap replaced, as dentists have a very difficult time numbing my mouth.
I asked why no one told me. The office manager looked at me with an annoyed look and said, "I have been managing offices for over 30 years. I thought everyone knew that it was common knowledge that dentists use drills and use Novocain." I told her that it was not common knowledge for someone that isn't in dentistry.
I asked the Office Manager if I could have nitrous oxide in addition to the painkiller. She said "no." I asked her if I could have a referral to another dentist. She said "no."
I wrote the owner - no reply. Signal Butte Dentistry tried to run up the bill rather than heal a patient. They are not to be trusted. They will bill your insurance for procedures and items that aren't necessary. They are all about the profit and not about the patient.
UPDATE: after Signal Butte Dentistry responded to my initial review, they are asking me to call them. In less than 24 hours, I have been provided 2 different numbers to call, and neither one seems to be correct. I - the patient leaving the bad review - have asked the owner to call me MULTIPLE TIMES; however, I have not received one call, one text message, or one email. I double down on my earlier statement that Signal Butte Dentistry is all about profit and not about patients.

I have had a hard time with trusting dentists in the past, we recently move to the area and I was nervous to have to find a dentist. I am so glad I did my research and found this office. I felt very at ease here and the care was fantastic! Thank you!

Wish I could give zero stars. Waited 40 mins to be seen, went to ask if Iโd be seen soon, she said they hadnโt checked me in. So Iโd just be sitting there for who knows how long before being seen.
I went there just to have a front veneer reattached as my regular dentist is out of town. All she needed to do was reattached with cement but she also decided to file it down and now itโs completely slanted. Didnโt consult before doing it, just said after it was done โI did have to change the look of the tooth slightlyโ um what?!!! I said itโs slanted!!! She said I know, there was a high point whatever that means. So annoyed, ruined a thousand dollar veneer. Do not recommend coming here, I didnโt feel like they knew what they were doing.
