Some people will understand the severity of dental anxiety. When I think of the dentist I get the shakes, and I cry uncontrollably. I have been suffering from tooth pain for around ten years. Wake me up at night tooth pain, dictate what I can eat tooth pain, and just altogether ruin my quality of life tooth pain. I had been told in the past that I would need surgery to remove my wisdom teeth at the tune of pretty close to 10 thousand dollars. My life changed the day I walked into Sabino dental. I sat in the lobby visibly shaking, with my eyes red from the tears I had shed moments earlier before coming in. Renee at the front desk approached me, and told me about her history with dental anxiety, and she understands what I'm going through. She assured me they were going to do everything in their power to make me feel better. She was sitting in the lobby seats telling me this. You really don't find empathetic and caring staff like that anymore. I was examined at first by Dr. Sabia. She was efficient, kind hearted, and incredibly knowledgeable. My hygienist was Lissa, to say that she was AMAZING would be doing her a disservice. She was EXTREMELY thorough and attentive to my pain. Stopping multiple times to keep my nerves down. I won't ever forget that bedside manner. Plus, my teeth are absolutely spotless!! By the time I met Dr. Arias for the extraction I was still nervous, but so far delighted with the care this entire office had shown for me. Dr. Arias said, "I can get that tooth out!". Finally there was a hope of no surgery. I recieved nitrous from Leslie who absolutely blew my mind with her frequent check ins, asking me what I needed, and all around bedside manor. Leslie assisted Dr. Arias in the extraction of four teeth. I will say, never in my life have I seen such a competent and determined doctor go to work on my mouth. I am pretty convinced that Dr. Arias is an actual angel. She removed all 4 teeth in no time! She worked efficiently, yet still made sure to check in on me and even teach her employees while she was working. Dr. Arias is fully invested in her office and it shows. I could not recommend Sabino dental enough. Thank you so much for making me smile again!!

Such wonderful staff! The front desk ladies were wonderful, greeting with lovely smiles and very quick with assisting. The office is super clean and the colors are relaxing. Hygienist did very good job explaining treatmemt plan. Highly recommend!

Had to find a dentist for my broken tooth. Unfortunately they couldn't get me in until almost a week after it happened. But everyone there was super friendly and knowledgeable. They made me feel comfortable and safe. I know I have a long journey a head with my dental health but I'm glad to start it with them.

Great location , state of the art equipment, and super nice assistant. Likeable dentist,felt my dentist was a bit of a DIVA with his assistant. Read me my right about ,what I should know 🤣🤣🤣 Drama , 🤔 😅.. Then there was the snooty erran /cleck lady she came across disingenuous but nice .. I would go back .. .

I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism through out my experience with you and the members of your team. Working with Alissa (hope the spelling is correct), the dental hygienist, was especially favorable.
She was extremely knowledgeable and competent with all phases of the work she performed on me and proficient with the equipment she was using. Her professionalism allowed me the reassurance that I needed to feel comfortable that I was receiving excellent care.

A great new addition to the local area...Dr. Lenny is very knowledgeable and the staff couldn't be nicer or friendlier...explained everything to me plainly, gave me an exact estimate for my future treatment costs, and all around as good any visit to the dentist can be! Also a big thing in my book is timeliness..they saw me at my appt time, no excuses, little waiting, then in to see the doc...exactly how it should be...they also got the billing correct the 1st time, very important...I would happily recommend this practice to anyone.

Moved back to Tucson & went into Sabino Dental mid April & talked with front desk before I made 1st time patient appointment. I specifically asked if cleaning was done during 1st appointment & was told yes. I scheduled appointment for May 16 at 10:30. Arrived May 16 & waited in dental chair about 90 minutes before I saw Dr.Arias. I had previous X-rays sent to Dr. Arias office & Dr.Arias then tells me previous are blurry & wants to take new X-rays. I give permission & Dr. Arias says X-rays show decay & I would probably have to get tooth extracted & do implant or bridge. She advised to do as soon as possible. I was surprised but asked to please present me all the info. about costs & what is involved.
I was then told that front desk gave me wrong info about cleaning, that it wasn't their policy to do cleaning during 1st visit. She sent me to talk with Sonia her dental treatment coordinator about extraction, bridge or implant & costs. Spoke with Sonia about 45 minutes & decided on extraction & bridge. Appointment was made for Tues.May 28(after Memorial Day).
Cleaning appointment was also made for Fri. May 24 at 2pm. Had cleaning on May 24, finished 3:30. Hygienist couldn't find records in the computer of my gum measurements that Dr.Arias did on my 1st vist so she did them again. After cleaning went to tell Sonia about records being lost . Sonia then told me( this is almost 4pm on Fri) that Dr. Arias had decided to take a 1 week vacation next week & that extraction/bridge appointment needed to be rescheduled.
I was BEYOND DISBELIEF for a dentist to decide at last moment to take a week vacation when she has a major, rather urgent procedure scheduled. I left without rescheduling because I realized that after too many issues of misinformation, rescheduling, losing records ..... this was a dental office of inconsideration, incompentency, untrustworthiness & lack of respect for a patient.

I had a fantastic experience at Sabino Dental! Previously, I had asked two other dentists about pain that I was having in my gums, and each of them had glanced at my gums and blown off the issue. At Sabino Dental, they took my concerns seriously. During the gentle periodontal probing (which they do for every new patient), they found some issues that are reversible if we work on them now. Dr. Lenny Arias made sure to answer all of my questions in detail, which will help me change my daily treatment routine.

Lissa is an excellent dental hygienist, and I can really feel the space between my teeth after she cleans! She also took the time to show me areas where I could improve, and she was specific in answering my questions. At Sabino Dental, I received the care I needed to help catch problems early!

While visiting in Tucson, I wanted to get a second opinion of some of the dental work which I received in Durham, NC. I have been to two dentists and two endodontists in Durham to the tune of $7000.00 with no resolution of the pain which I was experiencing in my lower jaw/teeth. After reading reviews of Dr. Arias, I scheduled an appointment to address the pain issues. The appointment was scheduled as an emergency so her time was limited. HOWEVER, within a very short period of time she was able to address and pain issues and make some excellent recommendations. I was very impressed with how quickly and expertly she was able to identify issues with previous dental work that could be contributing to my dental problems. She could do in a half hour what the doctors I have seen could not do after several visits. If I return to Tucson, I would not hesitate beginning dental work with Dr. Arias! The work I need would require my residing in Tucson for a couple of months which is quite understandable. I have been working with the dentists in Durham, NC since last June only to have the problem/s made worse. You will not be disappointment if you should seek treatment from Dr. Arias.

My experiences with the dentist has always been one of fear and pain. The phrase I most often heard in the past was "Don't worry, this will only take a second and it won't hurt, so we're not going to numb you up." It never took a second and it always hurt.
This was NOT my experience at Sabino Dental. I was treated with compassion and given the care that I have always wanted. I no longer am anxious about the dentist, in fact, I actually enjoy going now. The staff is warm and kind as are the hygienists and Dentists. I recommend anyone that is looking for a dentist and has had an unpleasant experience in the past to come here. I cannot describe the level of anxiety I had when I had to get a cracked filling replaced. I was certain that they were just going to start drilling, tell me to breathe, and allow me to suffer through the discomfort. However, I was given one shot and the filling replacement felt more like a tooth massage than what I was expecting. My financial obligations were explained upfront and nothing was added on as a surprise at the end. For the first time in my life I am looking forward to going to the dentist when my follow-up appointment is due.
