Dr. Schmidtke is kind and friendly but most importantly a terrific Dentist. He listens and answers my questions in a way I can understand! I like the fact his practice uses new technology such as doing crowns in-house so you don't have to wait days for a lab to make your crown. One appointment versus two. The hygienists are very thorough and do a great job cleaning my teeth too.

Six stars! This is by far the best dental experience I’ve ever had in my 53 years. Going to the dentist was my least favorite thing ever and it has caused a great deal of stress in my life. So I would postpone work that I needed to be done until I met Dr. Schmidtke and his amazing team! Every single one of them is so awesome and they make you feel comfortable and safe and taken care of. It has been very rare for me to find affordable dentistry as well. By far the best dentist I could imagine and he will be my lifelong Dentist. Thank you so much for shifting my perspective and experiences so that I can create positive and good dental health for myself! A good dentist is everything!

UPDATE: I’m writing this review three weeks after my very first visit because I just want to again express my absolute gratitude and disbelief honestly that a dentist like Dr. Schmidtke even exists. I have literally been postponing and putting off dental work that I needed done for the last few years at least, more like five years. I had gone to see two different dentists that were super nice people but charged an absolute fortune. So getting the work I needed seemed very daunting. Dr. Schmidtke he has so much integrity and he is so very honest. He only did what needed to be done and his pricing is the best I’ve ever experienced. I was able to get all of the dental work that I’ve needed for years done in three weeks. He even did a bit extra by fixing a chip that was stained on my front tooth that I got as a child and has just gotten worse. And he did not even charge me for that! Who does that? He is truly some sort of angel! And so is every single person that works in that office! Almost without words and beyond grateful! I didn’t know people like this existed in the dental realms. Angel souls.

I went to Schmidtke Dental for about 2 years, after a long period without dental insurance. Generally there was some embarrassment and shame (no one wants to have bad teeth), but the entire team was friendly, engaging and made going to the dentist a positive experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the East Tucson area. They got me to a good spot with my teeth and though I have since moved, I hope to find a dental team of comparable friendliness and knowledge. It was a great experience and I really value their help.

Schmidtke Dental office is a long haul for us living in Oro Valley but well worth the trouble. Dr Gabe is not “high pressure”, just straight forward with prioritizing any additional work that may need to be done. The entire staff is always thoughtful, professional and friendly. We have our dentist and very happy we do.

I got an appointment when I needed it. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful Amber. I waited no longer then 2 minutes before I was called back for my exam. Dr Schmidtke was very nice, gentle, and matter-of-fact. I was very impressed by the cleanliness, friendliness, and professionalism exhibited by all with whom I came in contact.

I just had a surgical extraction today at Schmidtke's and I am really grateful for the staff ! Unfortunately I had a molar with a giant chunk missing with curved roots. I was terrified once I realized that it was going to take longer and much more effort but both Doc and his assistant kept me in stitches while my hands shook and made jokes along the way. They also checked in with me frequently to make sure it wasn't overwhelming and that I was doing ok. Thank you so much ! Being able to see you guys in a few hours time from being in a dental emergency in a pinch was a really big deal for me.

P.S Front staff was super friendly and helpful in explaining cost breakdowns so that I could make the best choice for my financial needs.

The staff was super friendly and Dr. Schmidtke was amazing. He was patient, made you feel comfortable and relaxed. Did not wait long before being seen. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I had a great experience! The entire staff was professional and very knowledgeable! They were friendly and helpful. Dr. Schmidtke was absolutely awesome! Great listener and very attentive! They helped me get a plan in place to resolve a not so good experience I had recently with a different dental office. I highly recommend this dental office!

My first visit yesterday was a pleasant experience. I found the staff & Dr. Schmidtke to be professional, warm and welcoming and it was a good experience all the way around!
