The Dentists and staff at Sierra Smiles always do a great job! They are courteous, quick and completely professional. I really like the way everything is explained to me before any procedure is started. They take great care of my choppers!

Painful experience Poor service

I hadn't seen a dentist in a few years when I made my regular exam/cleaning/X-ray appointment here. I'm really not a fan of dentistry because I've always been in pain when visiting any dentist. But I knew I had to go back some time and I learned my insurance covered dentistry. Fortunately I found I only had a couple of cavities and I went ahead and had the fillings done. Now it's more than a week later and I'm in excruciating pain still. I had zero mouth pain before my visit and I've been taking pain medicine since my visit here, usually to no avail. It hurts to eat. Anything. Hot or cold, hard or soft. Everything hurts. Parts of my mouth that I had no work done on are even starting to hurt. On top of all this, they didn't do any cleaning during my visit.

Poor Customer Service Unprofessional Behavior Misleading Pricing Incompetent Staff

If only I had read all of these reviews before going to this dental office! My experience is similar to so many others. My initial reason for starting with them was to have an evaluation for an Orthodontic referral. Because I live and work 30 miles from the dental office I made it clear that I wanted to see an Orthodontist in my area even though this office would soon get their own Orthodontist. After almost a year of stalling and getting excuses for why they hadn't sent my referral to my local Orthodontist I was forced to confront the office manager and insisted that they stop playing games at my expense and send the referral immediately. If the Hygienist, at that time, hadn't been so good I would have changed Dental offices once I was finally able to get my braces. (Unfortunately, like the office staff and Dentists, the Hygienists don't seem to stick around long either). In addition to ever changing staff, on several occasions I drove 30 miles, with my appointment card in hand, only to be told that they didn't have me scheduled. Another occasion I was quoted a price for a procedure, agreed to it, made the appointment, but the day of the procedure the actual contract was almost double the quoted price. When I questioned the different amount, the front office lady asked "Really what were you told?" I told her and she nonchalantly said, "Oh, okay!" And that was that! My husband also had a similar experience. Again, because I wanted to give a third new Hygienist a chance I decided to stay. By this time my braces are off and I decided the old Mercury fillings didn't look right with my new smile so had them replaced by my second new dentist. Now less than 2 years later, my fourth new Hygienist, and faithfully having my teeth cleaned every 3 to 4 months, ex-rays are finally recommended. Granted, all 4 of these Hygienists have examined, measured and cleaned my teeth regularly all this time, nowsuddenly there's a completely dark tooth that may need a root canal! Ironically the dark tooth is one of the teeth that I had the mercury filling replaced less than 2 years before. Hummmmmm! Oh, did I mention, it will cost me around $1000.00 to fix it? Either the tooth had decay when replaced the mercury filling or the new filling wasn't fit properly, causing decay! I decided to have another dentist in this office give me a second opinion and guess who I got.................Dr. F. Big mistake! He was rude, condescending and combative! When I mentioned my concerns that the replacement filling was not a proper fit he got offended and asked where I got my degree. I was shocked! My reaction was to reply that I just want to get clarification, to which he said, "I guess you and I aren't going to get long." Needless to say that I promptly left and have not been back. I hind sight I think that was just their way of not taking responsibility for their mistakes. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid Sierra Smiles Dentistry.

Amazing Staff Great Service Comfortable Care

From the front desk to the oral surgeon this staff is absolutely amazing! Special shoutout to Tyler at the front desk, and Jennifer who took my xrays. I had excruciating tooth/mouth pain for about 2 weeks and they were able to get me in the same week. I saw Dr. Wadwha and he was very nice and extremely thorough, he informed me that I would need to have a tooth surgically removed as it had broken and it would be wise to take the wisdom tooth next to it out at the same time. I was then scheduled for the following week with Dr. Moorhouse and had asked them if we could do all of the wisdom teeth at once, they said of course no problem. This was my first surgery and I the absolutely terrified but it went very good and 5 days later I feel amazing. I felt very comfortable in their care as the dentist is always a very nerve wracking situation for me. They did an amazing job and all during the pandemic. I am so happy to have them as my dentist office and more than willing to make the hour drive to see them! Thank you everyone at Sierra Smiles!

Personalized Service Comfortable Environment Modern Equipment Caring Staff

Felt like a very personal visit. Haven't been dentist for years. Somewhat embarrassed; nervous. Dr. Wadwa came out to get me himself. We had a talk that made me feel at home; comfortable. All the staff showed patience; sincere care to me. Everything was explained; I was given good information to make a plan for my dental healthcare. Excellent modern equipment. The Dr. knew my health history. It's a pleasant environment with happy people being kind to me; each other. Sweet spirits there. So glad I went in.

Professional Staff Honesty

We have had all great experiences at this office. Dr. Faulk is my favorite Dentist. The office staff are professional and nice. The very best thing about our Dentist office is they do not act like salespeople. We get the work we need and not sold thousands of dollars that are not necessary. The do not gauge or rip you off!

Chaotic office Pushy staff Overpriced Unprofessional dentist Dingy rooms

Wow. Wish I would have read the reviews first before going into this place that should be investigated!!! I went in for the 59.00 deal for cleaning and x-rays. No problems with my teeth, I just needed a cleaning done. VERY chaotic office setting! Office staff was friendly but like others have said, they are like car sales people! I saw the dentist and they took the x-rays. I was also told I had periodontal disease. NEVER in my life was I ever told this. I brush and floss daily and have never had gum issues. My last cleaning was only 6 months ago in another state. They tried putting the fear of getting a heart attack or a stroke IF I DON"T get the deep cleaning done because of bacteria. The dentist said it would only be an extra 100.00. When the tech. came in, she said it was 450.00!!! I said, "well, I'll just have the regular cleaning for today then and not the deep clean." They said, "we won't do the regular cleaning. You have to get the deep clean." What kind of crap is that??? I LEFT!!!
PLEASE people.. do NOT go to this place! It's not worth your time and if you do fall into traps when "professionals" try to scare you, you might fall for their tactics and they will bleed you dry! Go to a qualified dentist!!!!!!
I had a bad feeling the minute I walked in there. Overly friendly staff and dentist. The dentist just didn't seem like a professional dentist. Seriously... I thought I was there to buy a car - NOT to visit a "dentist." The rooms are VERY dingy and chairs are quite old looking. I got the feeling of needing a shower when I got home.

Rude Dentist Poor Bedside Manner

As some of the reviews say, Dr. Brown was so awesome. However he is not there anymore. We love the staff, and like most of the dentists there, except for Dr. Foulk (I also see in the google reviews about Dr. Foulk being not recommendable). He was rude and sarcastic to my sister, my parents, and my husband, and now finally me (because Dr Brown left, I ended up seeing him one day). He has the worst bedside manner and we are not going back there any more. It's too bad because it has been a great few years with Dr. Brown there.

Canceled Appointment COVID-19 Concerns

Really annoyed with this place today. They canceled my oral surgeon appointment because supposedly he was exposed to "Covid19". "Safety" is more important than health these days with 98% survival rate Covid19 is less dangerous than the flu.

Poor Customer Service Unprofessional Environment Overpriced

I'm giving Sierra Smiles one star only because most of the front office staff is courteous and sensitive.

I went to Sierra Smiles because I found a deal on Groupon for a cleaning and full x-rays (and teeth whitening tray).

While getting my examination from the dentist I was told I had periodontal disease which I have never had in my life. My gums are pink and healthy looking without any bleeding. I make a point of flossing daily. I was told they would do the rudimentary cleaning on the portions of my mouth that didn't have the disease but would need a deep scaling etc. which comes at an exorbitant price. At this point I had a gut feeling that my gums were just fine and not in need of this deep cleaning.

The office was very busy in a chaotic way, so I postponed my regular cleaning for another date. While at the front desk, Ginger (who is not regular front office staff, but seems to rather be a go-between the dentist explaining procedures and their costs...a car salesman if you will) said to me very loudly in a crowded waiting room that I had periodontal disease and they will only do the rudimentary cleaning. This was already explained to me by one of technicians. I gave her a "please keep it down" look and she ignored it. She continued on in a loud voice. I noticed that other front desk staff had the decency to keep their voices very low when talking to patients.

Today, I went for my cleaning. Ginger was the only person in the front office and once again said in a loud voice "Since you have periodontal disease, you have to sign this waiver." I gave her the look again and said "do you mind?" She said loudly it was a waiver I had to sign because of the disease. I told her she obviously missed my point. All I ask from a person in this position is respect and sensitivity. In observing this woman, I see a person with an utterly fake friendly personality. She knew exactly what my point was and wouldn't look at me directly. I was furious. When I had my cleaning I told the dental hygienist about her behavior and how unprofessional and insensitive I felt her behavior was. The hygienist was sympathetic.

I do need a root canal and crown, but I would never return to this very unprofessional environment. There were no cups for the water cooler (almost empty too) and the magazines were old and wrinkled. There's more to tell here about the office in general, dentists, etc., but suffice it to say I feel very strongly that you consider finding another dental office.
