Smileworld Dental

This dentist is am AMAZING dentist. I have never been to a dentist that treats kids with so much care and love. My daughter had special needs and has been denied care from many places in bakersfield. The dentist here went above nd beyond to take care of my daughter's teeth regardless of her diagnosis. The staff are such sweet hearts as well. They showed so much care and love towards my daughters care when they helped with her.

Took my daughter here for her first dental visit and they were absolutely wonderful!! So nice and they absolutely loved my daughter! Will forever be coming here🖤

The Asian dentist disrespected my daughter by imitating her and making fun of her when she didn't want her tooth to be pulled out. I bet she wouldn't want the same thing done to her

My 5yo son came in for a cap to be placed over a cavity and the experience was terrible. Not enough time was given for the local pain medication to start working, within 5 mins they started to drill his tooth and he was in so much pain. Dr. Lee & the assistant Stephanie continued to gas light my son and tell him he wasn't feeling pain, it was just cold water and just the vibration of the drill that he was feeling. Instead of trying to be professionals and help defuse the situation or help comfort my son they just continued telling him how his pain was false and would yell over his screams. (They had my sign paperwork stating that I can't talk to the Dr so she wouldn't loose concentration) This was his first experience with anything outside of a cleaning, no explanation of what was expected from him was given to either of us so when he would do something they would patronize him. My son left completely traumatized. I would not recommend this dentistry to anyone!

I loved this dentist for my kids. All the staff was really nice, welcomed me and my kids with smiles and they made you feel real comfortable. They answered all my questions and concerns.

I found Smileworld Dental years ago because I needed a second opinion. The first dentist I went to said I needed to pull my tooth out and have oral surgery! I came to Smileworld and they said I needed a root canal instead. I was scared but they had a professional that specialized in this. They fixed my tooth perfectly.

Fast forward, I have been a patient for two years. I just started bringing my 4 year old son. He was nervous and acted up. They were patient, friendly, and worked well with him.

The office is clean, the dentist (Dr. Kim) is top notch, and most importantly they won't over diagnose you just to make money. I trust them.

I have taken my children here for the last 3 years, I waited patiently through their closed period for remodeling, I always had a good experience before. I called to make our first appointment in their "remodeled" offices, I found out that they are restarting every pateint as a "new patient". While I find it an inconvenience to need to fill out all the new patient paperwork, I was still wanting to make an appointment. After talking further they also informed me that they will not be billing private insurance, I would need to pay out of pocket and then file my own paperwork to be reimbursed. I will be looked for a new dentist. I am angry I have waited all this time for them to reopen instead of starting my search for a new dentist months ago! What a terrible experience.

I never leave reviews but after leaving here I knew i had to leave a review. I was SO nervous to take my 5 year old in for his check up for Kindergarten. This place was so amazing! they had Tvs for my son to watch while in the chair. All of the workers including the dentist was so friendly and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. they sent my son home with Minecraft lego figures which he was super excited about and they gave us some toothpaste, floss, and toothbrushes (including one for my baby, which was super sweet). I highly recommend this place and will defiantly be going back!

Aesthetically pleasing. The waiting area is comfortable and has plenty of seating with a Starbucks esque section of tables. They also have a small coffee stand. My kids really enjoyed the gaming area with 2 tablets and 2 PlayStations. All of the staff we encountered were great and my son loved his visit. We will definitely be returning. Also a bonus they let parents into the room which is awesome.

My son does not like the dentist, took him to smileworld and the staff was amazing! From the front desk staff to the dentist. Very friendly, patient and understanding. My son is Autistic and had such a great experience he said he would return.
