Not going back. The staff are all great! Very kind. Kim the dentist on the other hand, heavy handed, expensive and unpersonable. Everything she said sounded like a script. Said everything exactly word for word the same thing from 1 visit to the next 2 weeks later. Used the poker tool to "inspect" my gums between every tooth. I could feel it puncturing each time. My mouth still hurt the next day. She also left a chunk of cement between my teeth the last visit. When digging it out, i thought she was trying to pull my teeth out. She was literally turning my head by pulling on the tooth so hard trying to break off the chunk of cement that she left in. It was supposed to be an inspection and cleaning. She refused to to the standard cleaning and stated that she wouldn't touch my mouth again until $1000 worth of deep cleaning with an antibiotic wash was done over 2 additional appointments. I asked about a normal cleaning because I'm still paying for the last one. She interrupted said no not possible, I'll have my payment insurance person come back with a quote on the work that needs to be done. The receptionist comes back in 15 min with a 6k quote, never saw the dentist again. Worst dental experience I've had. Will not ever go back to her. I do not have extreme gum disease and my teeth are not going to start falling out. I brush, floss and use mouth wash 2 times a day.

I love Dentists of El Dorado Hills. Dr. Kim is wonderful and everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. We had to switch dentists because of insurance and this is best choice we could have made. All state of the art.

Parking can be fun at times because of it's location.
I was trying to find a dentist that had appointments available and they usually do.
One thing I do not like is having to fill out the online chart or sign in each time a visit. One time should be enough and if you confirm on the phone, you shouldn't have to sign in online. It's just a bit of overkill at times.
Other wise the dental assistants/dentists are nice and they listen to your issues.

The staff is really great here! Front desk, x-ray tech, hygienist and dentist were all awesome. Pretty bummed Dr. Swenson is leaving when I just got established. Only issue I had was with billing, seems every HMO tries to do the same thing though with upcharging for crowns. They corrected it for me at least and Dr. Swenson didn't try to push for extra work that didn't need to be done. I came to them for a second opinion after Smiletime Folsom told me I needed THREE root canals/crowns amongst other things, was very pleased to find I only needed an inlay and that a crown will be needed in the future on one of my prior fillings. I'd also like to add that I get anxiety meeting new people so I had a friend with me on my first visit and they treated us both wonderfully and were very accommodating.

Came in to inquire about services. Was told I had to call my insurance company to see if I was an hmo or ppo. I told the lady never had to call to specify a dentist office. I am a ppo. She insisted I call my insurance. I then inquired what is the process when if they state ppo. She stated to just call them and make an appointment… even though I already told her I was a ppo. If the front office cannot figure out a patients insurance or unwilling to call, what does that say about the dentist. I am a little skeptical with the reviews as well, only 5 stars or 1 star.
