Dental Faculty Associates terminated service as my dental care provider.

Yes, I would think that by not rescheduling my appointment as requested indicated that I was not satisfied with their practice. I know this is a dental office but it is also a business which should also follow some ethical business practices. I believe anyone who knows the particulars would agree that patients should be notified of changes in billing procedures in advance just like in any other business.

I showed up for my appointment and was told then that I had to pay the patient portion before any services would be provided that day. I informed front office staff and the office manager hat I didn’t have the funds available at that time and that for over 10 years I had been paying the balance due after my insurance company pays their portion. I was just in the office for an appointment earlier in the month and the customary billing procedure was followed.

Billing procedures were changed within a few weeks but no one bothered to notify me prior to my subsequent appointment. Office staff contacted me several times by email and text to remind me of my appointment and had ample opportunity to inform me of the billing change. I might add, my insurance company has been very prompt in paying benefits. Office manager mentioned that as being one of the reasons for the change - slow payment by insurance companies.

I did not object to the change in billing procedures, just to the fact that I was not informed prior to my appointment. I and others cannot seem to understand why I, being a long time patient whose account has always been in good standing, was not given the courtesy of having services performed that day under the customary billing method. We cannot help but wonder if there is some ulterior motive for the action. I am sure $65 was not going to be the straw… Since I am on a fixed income I have to budget my spending, both large and small. Plus, I drove over 60 miles round trip for the appointment.

I am sure I will find another provider to satisfy my dental needs, one who is considerate of patients’ circumstances and who is conscious of and follows ethical business practices. I believe this would not have been an issue if the senior doctor was still providing service.

Thanks to all the dental staff who, over the years, contributed to the preservation of my teeth and to my lovely smile.

Fantastic and caring staff. Very efficient communications from front to back office with great scheduling so I am seen on time. Usually great music playing in the background however today was classical day. I love this office!

omg! from the front desk all the way back to the dentist, each person i spoke with was Extremely nice, courteous and very caring. I was going for a second opinion and I got more information from them, then I had gotten the 3 times that I had gone to the other dentist. if you want honest answers and a place that is not going to over chsrge you, i highly recommend the Dental Faculty Associates.

The word efficiency readily comes to mind with a caring touch. I've never met the owner(s) of this business but my guess is he cares about the staff. Therefore that caring attitude trickles down to their clients.
