The Dental Healing practice of Dr. Chester Yokoyama, DDS is at the highest level of excellence that I have found in Los Angeles. He is an expert in Holistic methods and materials, right down to his non-toxic, environmentally friendly office, which is visually stunning and oh-so-clean and comfortable (ie: with a beautiful zen spa meets Star Trek vibe - hah!). State of the art technology and the least invasive procedures possible, make Dr. Yokoyama a true Renaissance Man in his field -- a master craftsman at the top of his game ... with a heart of gold.

From accurate and safe mercury filling removal with non-toxic replacements -- to no-heavy-metal new crowns -- to dental implants and even more complicated procedures, Dr. Chester is a holistic dental All-Star and MVP here in Los Angeles -- with exceptional chair-side manner and a much-appreciated calming presence.

You need to be able to trust your dentist to properly diagnose, explain appropriate treatment options, be up-to-speed on new innovations in treatment and then provide the best work possible -- and Dr. Chester checks all of these boxes and more.

And although all 3 of his dental hygienists came highly recommended through my extensive research, I must speak to my exceptional first-hand experience with Norina. Her incredible knowledge base regarding overall oral health and being able to easily explain what she is seeing and finding in both the "good" and "needs to be improved" categories, combined with her amazingly thorough teeth cleaning and laser gum treatment was once again, exceptional.

She is highly technically skilled and also provides tremendous humor and encouragement throughout what can be a sometimes stressful or even painful (for some) experience. There is just no question that there will be no plaque, tartar or "badguy bacteria" left in your mouth, once she is done.

After almost 20 years with my old and much beloved holistic dentist and fantastic hygienist in Westwood, who retired years ago, I have been adrift in a sea of eye-opening and not-so-satisfactory experiences in trying new dental offices around town -- until my research led me to Dr. Chester and Norina. They have literally thrown me a life preserver and pulled me ashore by welcoming me into a dental practice of the highest integrity.

And for this I am so very happy and grateful -- I have found my dental people for life!

Last thing -- the only real drawback for me personally is the office location being pretty close to downtown LA , which is a very long drive in traffic for many of us. But if you could go to a rare private showing of Leonardo Da Vinci, Michael Angelo, Warhol, Basquiat and more at this address, would you go? I would and I will keep making this trek and going here for the rest of this lifetime.

As you’ve read below, I’m here to testify, as well, to the excellence of Dr. Yokoyama and his entire staff. I feel quite honored and blessed to have found a doctor who cares about not just the tooth but the tooth as it relates to the rest of the body. Patient, caring, knowledgeable doctors and staff.

I just had two teeth extracted and felt no pain or discomfort during or after the procedure. No pain at night and days afterwards without pain meds, even aspirin. I do use Chinese herbal formulations to promote healing and a sublingual homeopathic tablet called Traumeel S N50 every few hours to help repair tissue trauma.

Before the extractions I had many questions and concerns on a variety of dental issues, materials, and procedures and all of them thoughtfully answered without feeling rushed or discounted.

Awesome office, people, Dr. Yokoyama is great. Norina, the dental hygienist who cleans my teeth is the bomb. You will feel like you're in extremely carefully kind hands in this office!
