Mammoth Dental

Was on vacation in Mammoth when I had a snowmobile accident and broke my front tooth. Was recommended to Dr. Schrager by the ER doctor on call at Mammoth Hospital. I called the office number even though it was closed and it was forwarded to Dr. Schrager’s personal phone and he answered! He offered to come in on his day off and fix my broken tooth! Dr. Schrager provided excellent care, was very professional, and was able to fix my tooth well enough until I got home to see my local dentist. I would highly recommend Dr. Schrager to locals and tourist! Thank you so much Dr. Schrager!

These guys are absolute Hero's.

A crowned tooth (less than a year old) started in with excruciating pain out of the blue. Went to my Dentist in Bishop who I have been less than impressed with over the years, and they told me that I needed a root canal and or full dental implant (never came up when they were charging me for the crown a that same year). Further more they don't perform these operations, and told me I need to go to reno for a 5,000 procedure. Then sent me home with a bottle of hydrocode (who is still prescribing that) and basically told me I'm on my own.

The next day the pain was to excruciating to take so I started calling every Dentist in the area until Mammoth Dental picked up the phone. They could tell I was in pain, and told me if I could get up there by 12 they would work through lunch to get me taken care of.

3 hours after I called I had a full root cana and for a MUCH more reasonable cost then the quotes from up in Reno.

Furthermore, Dr. craig called to check in multiple times that night to make sure I was doing good. By the next morning all pain was gone and back to life as Normal.

These guys got a patient for life.

Been going to Mammoth Dental for 7 years, Craig is an amazing dentist. He has helped me tremendously with my bad teeth. In years past I was terrified to go to a dental office. Everyone makes you feel welcome and safe like your part of a family. Highly recommend.

If I could give a -5 star rating, I would. We came in a Wednesday with a teenage boy who was in terrible pain from a breaching wisdom tooth. We had insurance that they typically take. However, because we don’t live in Mammoth they wanted cash out of pocket. What?! The staff was so rude and NOT helpful at all. Could not believe that they are medical professionals.

I emailed Mammoth Dental late one afternoon as I was beginning to experience some pain due to a decaying wisdom tooth. Dr Schrager emailed me back that evening! He told me that I could call him right then and subsequently offered me an appointment the following day. My dental extraction went smoothly and quickly. I was in and out of his office within an hour. He also was very forthright/honest with the projected costs as I had to pay out of pocket. My thanks to him for amazing customer service!!!

always very happy and OVERJOYED when leaving Mammoth Dental! (crazy to hear when leaving a dentist right?!) I have been going here for a few years now, due to moving to mammoth area, & switching dentists from LA to the eastern sierras from being a full time resident! Everyone apart of this office is very friendly, but still very professional! From the way the speak, the way they are dressed, & how elaborate the staff is on explaining mouth care & medication directions post surgery!
Dr Schrager is an incredible dentist, he does all the proper measures of sanitation, always makes me feel comfortable with his superb level of cleanliness as well while doing dental work! Dr, Summer, Ana & his staff are always connecting with patients & it shows how thoughtful, aware, concerned & in tuned they all are! I value that so much cause it shows their level of service & actually care about anyone who steps foot in their office!
I recently got my wisdom teeth removed, & was SO nervous! I thought it would hurt so much, but Dr Schrager numbed up my mouth after he knew it was ready to go & within almost less than 2 minutes both my top wisdom teeth I needed gone were OUT! I couldn’t believe how fast he was, & how embarrassed I felt for being so nervous for only having to lay there for 2 minutes of my life. I was THRILLED I didn’t feel a thing, it was so quick. I thought the next following days I’d be in pain, & be hurting, & I felt wonderful! Was at work the next day ready to go working a double!
I followed the proper measures I was encouraged to do by the staff & everything healed up beautifully!

Also the view from the office is always enjoyable to be staring at the Sherwins , you forget that you have Dr and assistants with metal tools in your mouth!, Always will & forever be the best dental practice I have ever stepped foot in!
It may take a little bit of time to finally get an appointment, but having minimal dentist in town catering to 10-20,000 people, you just have have to have the trust that you’re in the best hands & it is worth the wait!
Recommend for anyone who appreciates incredible service, & amazing dental work with happy friendly smiles all over the office!

Great great great! Always very friendly and professional. I love these guys. I never have any issues dealing with them and their work is always top notch. I had a dental issue and they were able to see me almost immediately. The one thing I don't understand is why they are booked up for 6 months to get your teeth cleaned. I'm sure there is a reason for it though.

I was on day 2 of an 11 day family vacation and had a terrible tooth ache. I didn't want to ruin our vacation so I tried to stick it out. Impossible, the pain was too much. Found Mammoth Dental on yelp and called. They took me right away. Had x rays done and had to extract. The office was really busy so Dr. Schrager sent me to pick up my prescription to save time. Got back and he extracted my tooth during his lunch break! He talked me through the entire procedure. He made me feel very comfortable and made sure I didn't experience any pain. The staff there are wonderful as well. They made a potentially nightmare situation on my vacation into a great experience! Around 8:30 pm that evening I got a call from Dr. Schrager asking how I was doing! My family comes up here a few times a year and I would make them my primary dental care if my insurance allowed! The staff at Mammoth Dental are beyond professional, they made me feel like family.

A very special and BIG THANKS to Dr. Schrager and his staff for seeing me this morning as an emergency patient. At the end of dinner last night, only eating a simple sandwich, my front veneer popped off! If it was Halloween, I might have gotten away without a front tooth. Walking up the beautifully landscape front path to the dental office, I couple feel a calm coming on. Dr. Schrager is very, very busy, but thankfully helps those in need! THANK YOU!!!

Just had a wisdom tooth extracted and the experience was wonderfully easy and painless. I can’t say enough about the excellence of Dr Schrager and his staff. As good dentistry gets. At 72 I have visited quite a number of dentists and Mammoth Dental is as good as you are ever going to find.. you feel genuinely cared about..
