Sunrise Family Dentistry

I've always been scared of the dentist, so I kept pushing it off, and then 6+ years ago, I found Sunrise Family Dentistry, and I won't go anywhere else. They are so kind and compassionate and take a lot of pride in what they do and how they care for their clients. I have brought my husband and daughter to them, and I am beyond happy with our care. If you want amazing dental work with an awesome staff, then look no further!

I am always very pleased with my dental visits. The competence is high and the people are very friendly and take excellent care of me. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Sunrise Family Dentistry.
The explanation of what’s happening is very clear and understandable.

I needed emergency treatment on a Sunday and was extremely pleased that Sunrise Family Dentistry scheduled an appointment. My dental emergency was addressed with the utmost sense of urgency and quality of work was of a very high level. This is honestly to best dentist office in the area to get great customer service and treatment. I went here a few years ago as a dental emergency when I had major molar pain and it caused my cheek to swell. I was able to get all numbed up and have it extracted in just under an hour. The healing process was so easy. I went to Western Dental on Fairway just last year for another removal and it was so uncomfortable, but as I have Denti-cal I had no choice.
Now my husband is having issues with his teeth and I recommended this office. We stopped by for an emergency visit on Monday and Dr. Al and Masha were the sweetest, most professional people we have met in the medical field. We have an appointment this Saturday and he is going to sign up for their dental insurance because my husband refuses to go anywhere else after receiving such wonderful care. They are also very close to home so that is a major bonus. We recommend coming here for your dental care, especially your dental emergencies!

First of all who wants to go to a dentist. BUTT,was referred by someone. Cracked tooth. I called, they had an appointment right away for me. The ones at front desk r amazing. Dr. Al is wonderful. He takes the time to listen to you. He treats you with respect, kindness and more. I have never had an experience like this before with a dentist. He actually cares about his patients. And getting tooth pulled, I never felt any discomfort. And it was quick. I would recommend Sunrise family dentistry to anyone. Just like family. Thank you so much. Already set up another appointment.

I recently had a tooth that abseesd. I called they where able to get me in the next day with friendly service. The whole experience went well they were up front and fair with pricing. I'm now using them as my regular dentist and recommend them for anyone needing dental care. There open weekends to witch is great.

I had a great experience here, I'm out traveling and my tooth broke, I called and they got me in the next morning. Everyone was very friendly. They evaluated my tooth and before anything began they gave me the cost in the room. I loved this and they even work with care credit. Sometimes when you have to pay out of pocket having these experiences makes it way less stressful. Thank you so much for the great experience.

My daughters and I needed to find a new dentist due to my insurance changing with a new job. They scheduled the three of us all on the same day. Got us in and out quickly. I left feeling taken care of. We have our next appointments scheduled. Really exceptional service!

As a small business owner I hate leaving less than stellar reviews. Who really likes the dentist? I am almost 50 and remember a time when the dentist was your friend and the office was not run like a used car dealership. This office is sadly, all about money. I like Dr. Al. He’s a likable man. I don’t like his business practices.
He will see 2-4 patients at a time. His prices are very high. You have a choice when it comes to your dental care. Price it out. He lets assistants do work that he should be doing like putting in and fitting crowns. Because of this, I have shoddy and expensive crowns. One fell out within the first year. The other two are ill-fitted and I’m in chronic pain.
I was so anxious to go back. His office was kind enough to not charge cancellation fees. He does not use or offer numbing cream. This is barbaric. If you have $2,000 laying around you can opt for sedation.
My dental implant keeps coming loose and never healed properly. Between my husband and myself, we spent a lot of money in this office. We won’t be back in the new year. I recommend you find someone with more experience and definitely tell him you don’t want a tech/assistant handling your crowns. When the work his office did is compared to my other dental work, his crowns look like ugly legos and my husband has one in the front completely the WRONG COLOR.
I even deleted a review, but sorry not sorry, educate yourself before choosing care.
I’m waiting for the unkind and defensive response. I was a bit disappointed and shocked at the response to other reviews.

Update: I have caught “Dr. Al” in numerous lies every time he responds to my negative reviews. It seems he is a habitual liar along with not complying with HIPAA standards. I am honestly astounded at his level of unprofessionalism. Stay away from this place unless you want him disclosing your protected health information publicly if you leave a less than stellar review.

On 12/26/22 he misdiagnosed me with a “bruised ligament” and told me to “wait it out” despite having a severe infection that was dissolving the bone in my jaw. It took another dentist, a specialist, and 3 different antibiotics to keep me out of the hospital. This dentist is negligent, and lied about what tooth I told them was hurting in reviews on other sites. I was in some of the worst pain in my life and was completely dismissed. They also either falsely advertise on their website or don’t offer the 3D XR/CT that’s on their website. The dentist is super unprofessional and consistently violates HIPAA privacy laws on review sites. I have made complaints to my dental insurance, the Office of Civil Rights, and the California Dental Board. “Dr. Hamzah Alkordy” also has aliases for multiple websites because he thinks that will keep him from getting caught being super rude and unprofessional.
