Mountain Shadows Family Dentistry

Let me start off by saying I’m terrified of going to the dentist and I never go. I am also a nurse who doesn’t take very good care of his teeth and they can be painful when brushing/flossing. So I am very insecure about my teeth. My wife pushed for me to go to the dentist and she picked Mountain Shadows based on reviews. I am so thankful I went here because they were super supportive when I told them about my teeth and my fears. Totally non-judgemental and made sure I wasn’t in any pain every step of the way. The receptionist was very welcoming and helped break down the cost of my future fillings, I was surprised at how affordable it was! The Hygienist Liz was so kind, patient and very good at putting me at ease and also provided me with some education on next steps to take to protect my teeth. The Dentist Dr. Holsteen had a great sense of humor! His bedside manner was on point. Very informative and personable doctor. If anyone else has anxiety about going to the dentist, go here! You wont regret it! I’m only in town for a short while but if i lived here this would be my home dentist office without a doubt.

Dr. Holsteen and his crew have changed my dental experience and I’m 40! He’s great to converse with and his work is careful and detailed. Over the last year I had a cleaning, fillings redone, a cap removed and a bridge put on. I have come to fully trust my oral care with this whole crew. The office is family tight and ran beautiful. Been coming to this dental office for 20 years! Small office with lovely, personable and kind staff. I dislike gritty cleaner so they always use toothpaste for me instead and even if I forget to ask, they remember. Dr Rivard took over from Dr Holstein and the transition has been very smooth!

My family have been seeing dr. Holstein for over 20years! WE LOVE HIM and all of the staff. My 3 sons grew up going to Dr. Holstein- from their first 'Happy Visits" as toddlers up through braces and now college! Dr. Holstein even came in on a Saturday to help glue my son's broken tooth after a air soft gun incident. We have always received wonderful care and advice regarding our dental care. Thank you MSFD you all do such a great job!!!

Friendly staff. I always feel well taken care of. Dr Holsteen is great and makes the visit comfortable and relaxing. I’ve been here for exams/fillings and cleanings and will keep coming back.

I had an extraction a few months ago at Dr. Holsteen's dentistry. That was by far the most pleasant (I am not saying extraction is of any fun) experience I have ever had with dental. The stuff were very friendly and warm. Dr. Holsteen was patient enough to explain all I need to know about the surgery. Making an appointment was easy. He called me the same day evening about the bleeding I had. I recommended my wife to this dentistry for her cavities and she loves it, too.

The staff here has been great every visit! They make me laugh while getting my teeth cleaned and are always willing to go the extra step—whether helping me figure out the cause of a sensitive tooth or offering book suggestions to entertain during the holidays.

Dr. Rivard did a filling on my tooth #2 in Nov. I had toothache 6-month later. He did a deep cleaning on the tooth #2. It was my first time for deep cleaning ( I had pretty health teeth) . He didn't explain anything but started with drilling my teeth. It's so deep I could smell the burnt.
Within a month of the deep cleaning, the tooth #2 was broken in the middle. I had to have tooth extraction.

Within 7 months, I lost my tooth #2. I would recommend everyone to stay away from Dr. Clint Rivard.

The dentist is the generally the only service that I pay hundreds of dollars for and feel worse afterwards. This is a good dental office. Clean, staff is kind, everything is explained. I did not feel rushed. Get there early, you won't have to wait in the office because the appointments are scheduled correctly.

I've been seeing Dr. Holsteen since 1992! The staff is wonderful! They are friendly and they talk to you! They are not robots! (Not to mention they play my favorite oldies station on Pandora when I go in!) I love these professionals because they make you feel at home!
