Had a 1 o’clock appointment. Was sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half, then waited ANOTHER hour and a half. Over three hours sitting around for wisdom teeth removal. a lot of the women working there are really hot though

Dr was great! DA before & with him was not! No smile, not even a good morning, my appointment was at 9am still the morning.. Right? She "couldn't" answer any questions, referred me to the Dr or front staff. ?? Front staff, HA! How long until I get the approval for the Pre-authorization? We'll know when it comes in. ? Asked again, in a different way. Oh, I don't know. ??? Like I said Dr was great, caring, concerned, informative. Staff needs training, major supervision, and damn Cross Training would be nice..

I would recommend Dr. Ben Thornal to anyone seeking dental treatment. His enormous care, professional manner, and attention to any need that may arise during the procedure made my visit and experience comfortable and I felt confident in his care.

This is much more a profit seeking entity than a healthcare provider. While, Dr. Tom seems to be very knowledgeable and does good work, the practice suffers from many deficiencies. Individuals working the front end are lazy, thoughtless, and untrained. A patient can not trust them to be attentive, bill properly, or honor appointment times. Furthermore, they are rude and unhelpful. This office struggles with organization and leadership lacks integrity. The culture of the office is to be oppositional to the customer. The practice manager/director does not understand their responsibilities to patients as a healthcare institution.
The examples:
-I was sat in the chair and told that I was about to have a completely different procedure than the one I needed. I stopped the assistant and had to tell the staff what I needed done. “It happens” -staff
-Comfort Dental aggressively sold me their “Gold Plan” with the knowledge that I already had insurance and could not use the “Gold Plan” with my insurance. It was a deceitful maneuver; a bait and switch. When I asked them to refund the “Gold Plan” payment, they referred me to their corporate office to avoid responsibility and keep the ill gotten payment.
-I was billed incorrectly and substantially different amounts for the same procedure.
-Front end staff became rude and defensive when I asked questions. This is because they are inept and ignorant of important information for their job.
- The practice director called me and demonstrated a complete lack of integrity. They claimed that I was rude to their staff when I challenged them as was needed. The actual reason they were upset was that Dr. Tom discounted my procedure because he recognized that the office had been negligent and irresponsible. The director was much, much more concerned that I didn’t pay full price than with any treatment of any human anywhere. The director betrayed their true commitment to profit over any semblance of quality healthcare.

My advice is to go somewhere that sees you as a living entity instead of a revenue source.

My smile is fixed! I had a great experience today with Dr. Dan! He was very gentle and made sure I was comfortable. My teeth look great and I will be back :)

I have been taking my two kids and I to Comfort Dental since moving to Carbondale in 2015. I have been blown away by how great Dr. Ben and his staff is. It's so refreshing to find someone that I can trust with my 13 and 14 year old. I have had dozens of dentist over the years in different States I've lived in and just so happy with the team at Comfort Dental.

Our family has used Comfort Dental for at least 6 years, and we have always been impressed with their professionalism. We are thankful that their system allows us to get affordable care without insurance.

I have always felt the doctors take the time to listen to me and even though they have other patients they have impressed me with their attention to each person while they are working with them. They answer all my questions and even follow up from more complicated work with a phone message. They are accessible and reliable.

I also appreciate how they treat their staff. There is an atmosphere of respect in the office and whenever little mistakes are made, as happens in all human work, people are spoken to with dignity and my problems have always been solved without further cost to me. They have gone above and beyond with me more than once to work me in when I needed it and to make sure work was done to a high standard of quality.

I've also been happy with the work I've received, from fillings to implants to crowns and broken tooth repair. The doctors pay attention to details and are concerned and caring that they get everything right so it lasts and looks good. Had a single wisdom tooth extracted here, and visited twice. The same doctor saw me for both visits; forgot his name, but he seemed pretty friendly. Time kind of wasn't much of a concept during the extraction, due to being gassed, but I felt comfortable and they re-assured me I could take my time. Even the billing clerks were friendlier than expected!

I took my son to Comfort Dental for a couple of years... During this time they "fix" some cavities and did cleaning every six months. Something just seemed off so today I finally took him to another dentist to have him checked and they showed me just what a poor job Comfort Dental had done during all this time. Now I have to pay someone else to actually fix their sloppy work.

I had terrible pain and no opportunity to see my regular dentist back home. After reading some reviews I was hesitant to call. But I am glad I did. Dr. Ryan Klumb fit me in and took the time to answer questions and make a diagnosis. He offered treatment but I decided to wait. Overnight things got worse and I called the next morning. He fit me in again and 40 minutes after walking through the door one of my wisdom teeth was removed painlessly. There has been no pain or discomfort post op. My experience there with Ryan Klumb was first class and I’m very thankful for their wonderful treatment.
