Decent dentist but not up front about costs of his work. My husband was just balance billed without warning that his (verified insurance) wouldn't cover the expensive material he used for fillings. If you go here, ask specific questions about his charges so you too don't get slammed with a hefty invoice.

Shawna is a true professional, being thorough, doing exceptional work and a bonus, she is friendly, caring and personality plus. I actually look forward to my appointment with her as she has earned my friendship as well as my favorite hygienist ever. Thank you! Gail Atkinson

Just got deep scaling done on the right side of my mouth and will go back to do my left side. I got four shots in my mouth by Shasta and didn't feel a thing! They really care about their patients the and don't overcharge you like other places! Highly recommend this dental office. Did I mention Shasta is the bomb diggity? Just go to this office. They rock!

I have fibromyalgia. I am a difficult patient at the best of times. Everyone in the office goes way out of their way to make me comfortable. Dr Larsen is patient and kind to me always. 6 months ago, I moved to another city. I come all the way back to Grand Junction for my dental work.

I simply state the facts.
Husband found the service by mistake as he thought the office was some other dentist’s who was referred by friends.

My first impression for the environment was great. Clean. Professionally decorated.

My annual insurance max is 1000.
Total deep cleaning for 4 quadrants: 255*4=1020.

A Lady at front desk took my insurance info and told me that the insurance company would cover my expenses 100%, of course deductibles apply.

It is also my fault to trust a dentist’s office has patients’ interest at heart that they will inform you everything about your insurance plans and how much exactly you will have to pay for the services. As a professional insurance agent before, I totally entrusted their staff to be professionals. Unfortunately I was wrong.

Two months later, a final bill arrived at my door step. In addition to out of pocket expenses paid earlier : 302, another 427 is still owed to Dr. Larsen. (Includes 180 for my husband’s routine cleaning; we never paid anything out of pocket for routine cleaning, so my husband will have to figure this one out himself)

It turned out that I have a maximum allowance of 170/ quadrant for root cleaning, which the lady who handled my insurance in the first place would have known or should have known, by profession. And I, as a customer, should also have known my own benefits before agreeing on any services( besides knowing 1000/max per year)!

So, we are paying close to 800 for a simple teeth cleaning plus whole-mouth deep cleaning in addition to amounts paid by insurance.

In regards to the services provided, no complaints there.

Simply facts FYI. So know your own benefits including the details before agreeing with anything suggested. Not everyone is a professional and does the due diligence to help a customer.

Dr. Larson, in my judgment, is the quintessential dental professional. Over the past several years I have had several "routine" issues and one "significant" issue treated by Dr. Larson. He never misses a beat. Every procedure has turned out well (reasonable cost, too). One time he gave me his cell-phone number in case I needed to contact him over the weeekend. What's more, he has surrounded hiimself with competent and professional dental-office personnel. Combine this with Dr. Larsen's friendly, unassuming manner, and well, that is absolultely as good as it gets in a dental office.

I was originally just calling around to find a match for what my grandmother needed and the office manager was so much more informative and friendly than the other 10 offices that I called. My grandma and I couldn't be happier with the results of her big time dental work and even just regular cleaning.

Great staff. Friendly and accommodating. Super easy to reschedule appointments. They try to pair you with the same hygienist each time to build rapport with patients. It’s a nice touch. Cute incentives for kids.
