Young at Heart Kids Dental Vision Braces

My experience here was absolutely amazing no matter how difficult my son was being they still managed to stay calm and get everything done that needed to be done. There also very kind hand have a welcoming energy! Will definitely be coming back!

I waited almost a month for my sons appointment, and when we showed up the office was just empty. They’re apparently switching locations but nobody thought to call and cancel appointments. Two other mothers with their kiddos showed up in the time I was outside the office calling around to figure out what happened, so I know it wasn’t just me they forgot to call. I called their number and left a voicemail asking what I should do and 45 minutes later I got a text saying “ Hello, we are unable to see patients still we will be contacting you shortly to reschedule your child's appointment. Thank you Young at Heart La Junta”. That was over two weeks ago, and nobody has contacted me still. Very unprofessional

My son is 3 and did a great job getting in the chair himself and cooperating as much as he did. The dental assistance was amazing, the ladies were patient and great with him. The doctor, Amanda I think was her name, was horrific. She proceeded to stick her fingers in my son's mouth trying to pry it open. He bit her and she got upset and got a bite guard. She continued to jam the bite guard in his mouth, while he is gagging and screaming the whole time. At one point my son's face was bright red and I thought the bite guard was choking him so I yanked him upright but the doctor grabbed him and yanked him back down in her lap away from me. I had to tell the doctor to stop, if I hadn't She would probably still trying. My son's gums were bleeding and he had bit his lip in two different spots trying to keep her out of his mouth. The whole encounter was about 5 minutes of her jamming things in his mouth and him screaming. She then proceeded to tell me since he was being uncooperative they cannot treat him. I told her that I look into his mouth on a regular basis and have not seen anything. She told me that her magnification is 3X better and that by me looking with just my eyes I would not see anything. She said since she couldn't see anything then she can't tell me if his teeth look okay. Since my son bit her, she also said that now she is going to have to get herself checked out. Honestly, that was such a traumatic experience for my son and for myself. As a pediatric dentist, I would have figured she would be more patient and understanding of a 3 yeard old patient. I will never bring any of my children back there.

They did a amazing job. I appericate there patients with my daughter and they made her feel very comfortable.

I called to make an appointment for my son because he was in pain and was asked to come in 2 hours from my call (which was greatly appreciated) when arriving they got us back and seen so fast and everyone was friendly, caring and most importantly they took great care of my son. Best experience I've had in the valley! Highly recommended!!
