Horrible experience, please go elsewhere for your dentistry needs. I scheduled my appointment on February 22nd and the next available appointment that would work for my schedule wasn't until April 19th, this coming Monday. That's fine, I understand new patient appointments take longer and I was happy to wait.

I received no attempts to contact me regarding my upcoming appointment until today, which is a workday. I was called twice but was unable to answer since it's a workday. I then received an email informing me that my appointment has been canceled since their attempts to contact me were unsuccessful.

They informed me they send out confirmations on the Monday preceding the appointment, but I have received no other calls or emails from them until today. This is a horrible way to start a new patient relationship. My mouth hurts, I need dentistry and I've been waiting almost 2 months for this appointment and now I have to start all over and find a new dentist? What a terrible policy. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else to begin with.

I have had the privilege not only to have dental care with Dr. Snitzer and her team, I also know what it is like to work with her. As a CAD/CAM lab tech Dr. Snitzer utilizes the newest techniques, materials and travels quite a bit furthering her education as a clinical practitioner. She is not just taking courses, she speaks at these events as well. You are in good hands with her and her team.

I have had severe anxiety over going to the dentist for many years and after my first consultation with Dr. Snitzer and her staff, I realized I had found the right place. I just completed my Lanap treatment and I have to say that Dr. Snitzer and the entire staff were over the top kind, supportive and gentle. I was informed every step of the way about what to expect and there were no surprises. It's the little things that matter...Pat and the Dr. talked to me through the whole procedure and told me how great I was doing and gave me encouragement throughout the entire procedure. These things mean a lot when you are trying to conquer anxiety and frankly it is (sadly) a rare attribute to see from a dentist. The entire office is in sync with a philosophy of obtaining healthy teeth and gums and caring for patients every step of the way. I cannot emphasize enough that their approach is a true team effort that encompasses kindness and caring as part of their treatment. At the end of it all, I felt empowered and grateful for all that they did for me and the treatment was not painful at all!
Thank you all so much!!

I had a great experience with my Pinhole surgery in Dr. Snitzer’s office. Dr. Snitzer and her staff up front explained everything to me about my surgery and my insurance and it was way less expensive than at some other offices I researched. I am so happy with my gums and my smile now!

As someone with severe anxiety regarding trips to the dentist, I’m happy to report that Dr. Snitzer and her team at Colorado Advanced Dentistry have completely transformed my outlook on what a visit to the dentist entails (hint: no pain is required!). Not only is Dr. Snitzer incredibly compassionate and fantastic at what she does, but she also has a wonderful team of assistants and hygienists surrounding her that, together, make for a 100% tolerable—dare I say pleasant—dental experience.

So far, I’ve had a cleaning done by an absolutely lovely hygienist along with a laser gum procedure and a cavity filling done by Dr. Snitzer and the sweetest assistant. Throughout each of these procedures, I felt completely cared for, understood regarding my intense anxieties, and best of all: I wasn’t in significant pain at any time.

If you’ve put off dental work for fear of the dentist’s office, please trust when I say Dr. Snitzer and her team here have got you! At one point, she even said to me, “I don’t hurt people in my practice—I just won’t do it.” And she means it! Their high-tech equipment and thorough attention paid to each patient really does make a difference and you will not regret it.

Thank you to the team at Colorado Advanced Dentistry!

Dr. Snitzer and her staff are top notch! I have a phobia when it comes to the dentist, but they couldn't of done a better job at helping me to feel safe and in good hands. I would recommend them to everyone, but especially those that are like me that are terrified about going to the dentist! Can't say enough good things:)

At the age of 72 am FINALY free of all fear of visiting the dentist!!
My last visits to the dentist office have been more like a family reunion!! I love Dr. Snitzer and her entire staff.

My story…
In my younger years had a zillion cavities and horrible visits to the dentist that, just let me say, did NOT go well.
In the last 7 or 8 had developed deep pockets and gum disease and was fearful I was going to lose all my teeth like my grandmother did. Was having to have painful deep root scaling done every few months.

After researching Dr. Snitzer and the LANAP procedure, I finally got up enough courage to stop by her office.

To make a long story short, last July I Dr. Snitzer did the LANAP for me.

It was a 2 day process. Had some fear and anxiety the night before the first session and NONE the night before the second session.

This procedure literally saved my life!!!
Every 3 months since the LANAP surgery I’ve had easy painless cleanings.
I now have a healthy, mouth and the best dentist in the world!

My suggestion to anyone who is fearful of the dentist, do yourself a huge favor, drop by her office, make an appointment and get to know Dr. Snitzer and her staff.

This effort is to communicate my experience thus far with Colorado Advanced Dentistry in Lakewood, Colorado leading up to Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy (LANAP) for mild-to-moderate periodontal disease in December 2019.

In late September, I broke a dental cap and saw a dentist that told me that I had moderate-to-severe periodontal disease. He made arrangements for me to see a periodontal surgeon, but being somewhat familiar with that very invasive and uncomfortable procedure, I researched other options. I found a paper entitled “Lasers in Periodontal Surgery” by Allen S. Honigman and John Sulewski that explained the different types of lasers, and how lasers are used clinically in periodontal surgery.

I then found Dr. Deanna H. Snitzer on-line, a dentist in Lakewood, who had extensive experience with LANAP and made arrangements for a consult. Dr. Snitzer was among the first dentists to embrace LANAP, and has trained multiple dentists to effectively perform the procedure since 2012.

My effort was complicated by a heart condition I had been tracking with a cardiologist for about two years. Several echocardiograms had confirmed that I had a bicuspid arterial valve (2 flaps that had become stenosed, rather than the normal 3 flaps). I discussed the anticipated valve replacement with Dr. Snitzer during the consult, and she then discussed the periodontal procedure with my cardiologist. I was aware that periodontal disease could have a negative effect on my heart condition and valve replacement, therefore it was in my best interest to have the LANAP done sooner than later.

An appointment opened in early December at Colorado Advanced Dentistry, and due to my fear of dentists since childhood, I stopped by Dr. Snitzer’s office the day before the scheduled procedure. I was told that I would be thoroughly numbed to do the right side on that Wednesday, and again for the left side on Thursday to the point I would feel no pain from the laser, the deep cleaning and cauterization. Also mentioned was that those evenings post LANAP, I would simply feel “like I had some work done that day, but would feel little, if any discomfort.”

As of this writing on January 2 , though I was skeptical before the treatment, Dr. Snitzer and her staff were helpful, organized, supportive, and absolutely truthful about the procedure. There was zero discomfort, and I was able to drive home after having the right and left sides done. I didn’t need the doses of Tylenol offered, but did follow the protocol of a liquid diet then soft food for 8 to 9 days, and returned for a post-op evaluation appointment. Healing appeared to be on schedule, and am planning to see their dental hygienist in early January to have a cleaning and to be fitted with a night guard to help prevent grinding my teeth at night.

Though the complete healing process for the LANAP periodontal disease treatment takes about a year according to Dr. Snitzer, it is not inexpensive(!), and requires good daily dental care on my part, therefore I plan to update this posting as time goes by. According to Dr. Snitzer, if treatment goes according to plan, I should see about 50% improvement in the bone loss / pocket depths over the next year compared to measurements taken at my original consult, but the condition is apparently systemic and therefore will remain within.

It will certainly be interesting to see if the LANAP procedure is effective. I plan to relate my progress and outcome through 2020 on this site, and hopefully will see the improvement suggested by Dr. Snitzer, and it worth the price paid.

Love the staff and dentist there. Very clean office, always professional. I would recommend this office to anybody. Sherrie cleans my teeth and she is the best hygienist I have ever had.
