Cook Dental Care on The Blvd.

I have been in the hospital ER for 24 hours with my nephew, a 16 yr old boy.. My sister is livid and I am as well.
How does a SIMPLE filling create a large abscess near the SINUS CAVITY? I can tell you why — the ER doctor had to pull me to the side and tell me not to go to this office with my sister and raise sand.
As a registered nurse and PRACTITIONER - it is concerning that this ER doctor informed me that whoever completed the injections during the procedure went so far past the gums that he hit a nerve as well as the sinus cavity. ENT doctors were also consulted .. But THE SINUS CAVITY? The crazy thing is, the ER DOCTOR also informed me that there were other patients that he saw from this same office, SAME dentist that encountered the same issues and had to have oral surgery.
I don’t know if this dentist is a student or doing residency but as a healthcare provider, if a person continues harming patients, then some type of counseling or coaching needs to be done - which it has not. Dr. Hollis Barton needs action taken against him because this is happening to a lot of patients, specifically black individuals and his bedside manner is terrible. His response to this was : “We usually only do 2 injections based on his AGE & WEIGHT but he still felt pain so I completed 3 more series of shots.” Excuse me, WHAT? You did not call another dentist for a consult? You didn’t see if there was already a blockage? You simply DID NOT ASSESS the situation. You said “I thought he just didn’t want to feel pain.” EXCUSE ME? So now, you’re not taking serious accounts of pain experiences from patients. Unbelievable. But typical from a white man to black patients.
If you all do not take action, we will. There are many other people that have spoken up about this issue so this is not a personal basis. Figure out a way to rectify this immediately or the Georgia Board of Registry will be contacted. Thanks (:

I was punctual for my scheduled appointment. Upon arrival I discovered the premises was locked. I dialeld the office number thinking someone inside could allow me to enter. Instead, I
received an automated message stating the office was closed due to water damage. I should have been notified prior to my appointment. The lack of professionalism is in inexcusable. Show some consideration for those who patronize your establishment. I had to stand around outside alone until someone could come back and pick me up. I felt vulnerable.

Always professional service. This was my first time at the new office and Dr. Cook gave me tour of the facility. Her staff has always been courteous and friendly when assisting my entire family.

I am retired Military veteran. What can I say about this dental 🦷 office. The staff there at Dr Cook dental office in Columbus, Ga are very friendly and very professional the doctors are very friendly very professional. Dr ask questions and let you ask questions and they get the job done, very clean place. Just remember when you go to any dentist office or doctor office you no you have to be very patiently and wait to be called on. Thanks Dr Cook for my new smile 😃 keep up good work with your staff!

Today I had the pleasure of visiting this office for the first time and I was very pleased with everything. The staff greeted me when I entered the office, was helpful and had great rapport with me. I had no issues checking in they already had my information in the system and I was called back, worked up and seen immediately. The dental assistant in the back was very knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough with explaining everything that was about to take place. Last, Dr. Cook was fantastic! I really appreciate the fact that she listened to my concerns, fears and offered the Best option to help me. Dr. Cook has the best bedside manners I have ever seen. I'm so glad that I found you all and would definitely recommend this office to my family, friends and coworkers.

From my 1st visit to the last. The Ladies up front Customer Service is Top Notch. The Dental work was Great!! They were informative throughout the process, answered all my questions and most of all made sure I was Comfortable. The Gentleman at Check-out made sure before leaving I was OK, feeling My best about New Smile and set me up accordingly for next visit needed. I'M EXCITED ABOUT COOK DENTAL AND CONSIDER THEM PART OF MY NEW FAMILY 🥰❤️

This is a great facility that provides professional and wonderful service. All the staff that i came in contact with was friendly professional and competent. The facility was pleasant and clean and in compliance with Covid regulations. I felt very relaxed and comfortable with Dr Warren, he and his assistant went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I would recommend this facility to anyone and give them 5 🌟
