Review of Kuhio Dental Group

Kuhio Dental Group: Providing Dental Services with Long Wait Times

Kuhio Dental Group is a dental clinic located at 111 Puainako St, Hilo, Hawaii. The clinic offers dental services such as teeth cleaning, root canals, fillings, and extractions. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. However, the clinic is closed on weekends.

The clinic has received mixed reviews from customers. Some customers have praised the clinic for providing quality dental services. They have commended Dr. Mah, the dentist, for his expertise and care. Customers have also appreciated the friendly and efficient staff.

However, the clinic has received negative reviews for its long wait times. Customers have complained of waiting for hours before being attended to. Some customers have reported waiting for more than two hours for a scheduled appointment. The clinic has also been criticized for canceling appointments without prior notice.

Despite the negative reviews, Kuhio Dental Group has remained operational. The clinic has not responded to the negative reviews, and there is no evidence that they have taken steps to address the long wait times.

If you are looking for a dental clinic that provides quality dental services, Kuhio Dental Group may be an option. However, be prepared to wait for long periods before being attended to.

Rude Staff Outdated Equipment Unnecessary Procedures

This place is a nightmare. The staff are rude and all of the equipment is terribly outdated. It feels like you're walking into 1970. I had to go here because it was the only place my insurance was accepted (i've since changed insurance plans thank goodness!)
The worst part is the dentist just wants to get money, so he'll tell you you need root canals and all sorts of procedures that aren't necessary. Please avoid! They need to be put out of business. There are plenty of other great dentists in Hilo.

Trustworthy Excellent Work Kind Staff

Reading the reviews left for Dr. Meh and his staff made me furious! I moved here from Colorado 6 months ago. My first week here one of my fillings fell out. I was scared and knew it would be difficult to find someone I trust but I did. Dr. Meh and his staff are some of the kindest people I have met. Dr. Meh has taken really good care of me and my teeth. He always gets me in when I have an emergency (because it seems like all my fillings decided to fall out) He does excellent work. He is a very generous and kind person and a very qualified dentist. I feel like people always take time to complain but will rarely take the time to compliment a professional. That is obvious from the reviews that have been put here. I moved to Kona but I still make the two hour drive to Kuhio Dental. I did today and once again, love and appreciate everyone who works there. I highly recommend and sincerely trust Dr. Meh and his staff.
Mahalo!

Friendly Staff Efficient Service Personalized Care

i have been going to Dr Mah for 20 years, so have my wife and three children. The staff is always extremely friendly and efficient. Yes you have to wait but it is because Dr Mah spends time with each patient explaining what he is doing in detail....and asking about each and every family member, as he has seen many kids grow up and move on. We are very pleased with his care. aloha, Hugh Johnson

Only good thing about this dentist is that the kids can watch movies while getting their teeth done. Other then that you wait forever
