By far and without reserve, this is the best run, most talented medical/dental group on the Big Island. As a health care provider myself, I don't miss much. Dr. Miyasato is extremely talented, knowledgeable, great listener, and has a wonderful rapport with her patients. You can't help but respect and like her. Well run offices are difficult to find anywhere, but the office manager is outstanding. She is always working hard to get you an appt or keep you posted on the amount your appt will cost. The office is smothered with hard-working, gentle, considerate and genuine staff. They all appear satisfied with their positions in the office.It is refreshing to be in a place you feel has your best interest in mind, treats you like a person instead of a diagnosis or number, intently listens to your concerns and all the while smiles and makes you feel welcome. I applaud Waimea Smiles, Dr Miyasato and her entire staff and am exceedingly grateful for their presence on this island.

Waimea Smiles' staff and doctors are beyond exceptional, caring, kind and professional. I worked with Dr. Alex Spivak who is amazing. I came to Waimea Smiles with some pretty tough issues. Work I'd had done on the mainland, had to be completely redone. Dr. Spivak led me through the four month ordeal with aloha, always mindful of my mental, emotional and physical state. (I was very nervous around dentists). The staff is very kind and supportive and I can't say enough of how painless and easy the whole thing was. I will always be grateful to you, Alex (as he has his patients call him, (Dr. Alex). Great dentist. Moved here from Portland, worried about finding good dentist. No worries: Dr Miyasato is first-rate. Has latest technology (including Cerecs) and does thorough work. Alsom good hygiene staff. Strongly recommend.

This visit was a routine cleaning. Got a thumbs up on my personal hygiene. Always a great experience when I go there. Got a blanket cause I was cold, fell asleep couple of times. Don't know how they can work with patients like me, who relax too much, while they work hard to care for my teeth. Much Aloha and Mahalo to Waimea Smiles for keeping my teeth healthy!

Visits to this office are always pleasant. Everyone is so warm and friendly. Procedures are explained as they are about to be done or while being done. Itβs nice to know the steps taken as you go rather than just sit there and wondering. Wonderful experience for a dental visit which I used to not look forward to at all!
