Dr. Cantwell took great care of me and my teeth. I liked that he really listened to my concerns, was very clear in describing the problems he saw and what needed to be taken care of. His staff was kind and very thoughtful. I'm a scared patient with sensitive bottom teeth and this is the first dentist I've been to who didn't act like I was just being a whiner. They believed me and took steps to actively calm me and make my procedures much less painful and unpleasant. As long as we live in this area, I will trust Dr. Cantwell with my dental care.

My wife has been going to Atlantis Dental for over 6 years. We started to take the whole family here until our last visit. My wife complained about tooth pain in a tooth that already had a crown and the Dentist recommended a crown lengthening surgery and then a new crown.
After completion of surgery he recommended my wife to follow up with a endodontist and during the follow up the endodontist said the crown was 100% unnecessary and it needed an implant and the Dentist should have known and recommended the referral before ever doing his surgery.
So bottom line over a $1000.00 down the drain. To top it all off we receive bills in the mail that are very unclear. Example it will have 1 child's name on it and a rather large bill, no clear understanding or explanation as to why the bill is so large so I called and asked and they said the bill is actually for four people on our account. It caused a lot of confusion which made us believe the insurance hadn't kicked in yet.
I think it is bad for business to have unclear billing especially in the medical field. Also when a patient who has been a patient for almost a decade calls and explains how the referral says the surgery was a waist and unnecessary it would be nice for a call back from the Dentist.
The money is the least of our reasons for being upset with Atlantis, the lack of follow up and unclear billing is the reason we are upset. Bonnie the money is all set up to come out of my account through bill pay and will be mailed to you and the full balance is scheduled to be paid off by April 1.
We are sorry we don't have it in full at the moment but if it is pressing to you we will throw it on a credit card.
Bottom line we feel like you're just a number at Atlantis Dental however in our case the number 7 since there are 7 people in our family that will be looking for a new dentist.

The Dentist is very gentle and caring, I had a tooth pulled today and didn’t feel any pain.
His complete staff is knowledgeable and provides great customer service, I have been their patient a few years now and am very pleased.
I would recommend Atlantis Dental.

The front desk lady Bonnie is a scam artist, too bad too because the dentist was great, kind and so were the staff. I was called by the front desk lady and told that I need to get in because I'm double covered with insurance and my appointment will be next to nothing if not free only for me to get there and have my face numbed up and then started already and then her coming in and saying it's going to be more like 500 or $600 but if I can't afford it now I can apply for a Care Credit Card! I couldn't believe it it was so embarrassing and horrible I never will be going back there 😕😢😲😷

Highest recommendation. When I moved to Boise I never expected I would find dental care to equal what I left behind in S. California...
...another California transplant bites the dust (but with good teeth!)
Update! A few years later... I always leave smiling - and with a smile that’s better than before.

From the first phone call to make my initial appointment to the end of my treatment my experience with Atlantis Dental was positive.I have a deep fear of dentistry and everyone was so kind and understanding and so very patient. The work was done on my own time and they never once made me feel embarrassed of my fear.....AND ..they took time to look at pictures of my grandchildren ! I would absolutely recommend Atlantis Dental Care .
