Great with kids Friendly staff Accommodating Comfortable and safe

I love taking my kids here. The fun waiting room, friendly staff. They listen and try to accommodate to the children. They listen and take notes of the tips and tricks that I as a parent have to help my kids feel safe. (And they take note for next time!!!๐Ÿคฉ) they are amazing at helping the kids feel comfortable and safe. So important especially with a kid who is a sensory avoider and doesnโ€™t like to try things. A+ for this dentist practice and the team that works there. Thank you!

Tooth time has always been super professional, kind and caring. The front desk is always super friendly and understanding. The dental assistants are super kind and always had great communication. Dr McWhorter Is very attentive and always lets me know what needs to be done and how my kids are doing with their dental hygiene. My kids love coming to ToothTime!!! Such a friendly and kind environment. The manager has always been super nice and always gives me an estimate on my insurance what will and wonโ€™t cover and Iโ€™m more then happy about that. Iโ€™m glad my kids are going to tooth time! We love it there!!!

Rushed Service Inconsiderate Dentist Unhelpful Staff

This was my first time going to the dentist with my 2 year old. Everything seemed very rushed for a dentist office that caters to children. It was only her second time being there, and she wasn't used to sitting in the chair yet. I had my 8 month old in my lap and the dentist barely looked at me as he asked if my 2 yo wanted to sit in my lap or on the chair. He didn't wait for her to respond and suggested that "mom" move to the small chair to hold her in my lap. A bit inconsiderate. She ended up climbing onto the chair on her own and the dentist looked in her mouth for about ten seconds and said we should come back in six months. That's it. Those who led us around (not sure anyone's name because no one gave introductions) did not wait for a dilly-dallying 2 year old to follow them. They probably created some of the stress that led to her meltdown after the appointment. No help was offered to help get her out the door as she screamed on the floor after I tried to pick her up. I know that I am her mother. It just would've been nice to have some kind of support.

I really like the staff and the office. They have great bedside manner and the dental assistants are always great. But today I left feeling really unsettled after we went in to fill a couple cavities for my 4 year old. They were supposedly surface deep and would be a quick easy fix and didnโ€™t need numbing or nitrous (I asked beforehand and the assistant said it wasnโ€™t necessary.) They did the first tooth and it was quick and easy, but on the second tooth she immediately panicked and became hysterical. She has never had an issue with the dentist and likes coming and she has been numerous times, so that was abnormal. She told me it hurt bad and I could tell she was being truthful that it really did. The doctor assured me that it didnโ€™t hurt her, and then proceeded to tell the assistant to reschedule the other work she needs and talk to me about โ€œrestraintsโ€ and that the upper tooth that โ€œdidnโ€™t hurtโ€ was deeper than they thought it would be. She proceeded to explain to me that the doctor wouldnโ€™t work on her again without using a huggie blanket which is like a large swaddle to pin her down, and that PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN TNE ROOM. I asked if I could just hold down her arms and legs and she said itโ€™s their policy that Iโ€™d have to stay in the lobby. I thought about it for the rest of the day and asked opinions from family and every response I got was absolutely without a doubt NO. How traumatizing, strap her down, no numbing (but still, even with numbing not okay) and Iโ€™m not allowed to be there when she cries for help out of horror. I completely understand needing to pin down arms and legs for the safety of patients but i feel especially uncomfortable with the fact that the cavity was bigger than he thought it would be, he proceeded to do it, and tell me it didnโ€™t hurt her after she cried for me and said it did hurt her. Sheโ€™s a tough kid and I know when something is wrong or not. This was an off-putting experience enough that we are going to find a new office for our kids. Like I said, I really like Dr. Mcwhorter and the staff from previous visits but I strongly disliked this experience.

Great with kids Friendly staff Highly recommended

We have been going to tooth time for almost 3 years. We started going to tooth time when my oldest was 5 at the time there and he wasnโ€™t scared at all. The dental hygienist was so awesome and showed him everything she was doing on him. She let him feel the tooth brush on his finger and let him pick out his toothpaste flavor. After he was done they did my 2 year old daughters teeth cleaning and they were so awesome with my diva daughter. She got to wear sunglasses and pick a prize at the end of the appointment. I highly recommend them. We have gone to the same dentist for years and moving here we needed a new one and we loved it and now we have been going for the past 3 years and love them!

Autism Anxiety Understanding Staff Patient Good Experience

My son has autism, as well as extreme anxiety when it comes to doctors and dentists. The staff at Tooth Time are always so understanding, and do everything in their power to make the experience as good as possible for my son and I. They're so patient comment even when he's having a meltdown, and they're willing to do whatever they need to to help him have a good experience.

Good Customer Service

Tooth Time made an error and I posted a review explaining how they had inconvenienced us. Within a day or two the issue was resolved and my son was able to have his procedure. Very satisfied that they admitted their error and made things right.
